Invidia Equal Length Big Piping Exhaust Manifold
Subaru Models (inc. 2002-2014 WRX / 2006+ STI)
Features & Product Details
RallySport Direct proudly carries a large selection of quality high-performance master-crafted exhaust options brought to you by Invidia.
This is the Invidia Equal Length Big Piping Exhaust Manifold. This type of manifold is ideal for those of you looking to surpass large horsepower figures that would otherwise be limited by the flow capacity of the factory exhaust manifold. When shooting for 600+ horsepower and beyond, two of the main ingredients that seem to be key factors are a larger piping diameter, along with an equal-length design. This with smooth bends as much as possible within the manifold design will allow for an unobstructed flow path for the exhaust to exhale the exhaust gases as proficient as possible for those with moderate bolt-ons.

I have seen many people concerned about boost creep when upgrading their exhaust system. I'm very confident that the reason i've seen no boost creep in my system is attributed to these headers. Equal length means more even flow to the turbo and also these headers are designed with the stock cam in mind. They are perfectly oversized to the size of the heads in such a way that they are like a stepped tube header. They may decrease velocity of the exhaust slightly but its made up for in the even delivery to the turbo making them better than similar headers in their class. I always reach the appropriate boost for the map even with a catless TBE. I have these headers + invidia n1 race catless exhaust all the way back running Cobb stage 2 + sf with no problems for about a year now. IMHO these are the best possible headers you can get for the stock turbo regardless of the decreased velocity because you will reach the boost you want all the time with no fluctuations.
These bad boys are sized perfectly to get a much HP/TQ out of the stock exhaust valve size as possible plus a little more even from slightly ported and larger valves. Can't wait to get them and put them on next week! My goal for now on my MY12 WRX is to gain more low end TQ due to the fact that stockers dont really like to launch as well as they should. Can't ask for a better design for stock or slightly oversized valves.
I bought these headers to be used in conjunction with a aluminum moroso oil pan. They did not fit togeather, so one had to go. I chose the pan over the headers because the additional HP I would gain by using these did not out-weigh the extra reliability of the moroso oil pan. Why the 5 stars then? Because although I couldnt use them, the overall build quality was exellent, and in my opinion the best HP TQ making design out there. Ended going with the Invidia HS02 to fit my pan.

Q: Semi Stock STi Nick S5 years ago
I have a 2006 STi with only a cobb down pipe and the accessport. My question is if I will need and supporting mods to run these headers safely.

A: Technically, a tune will not be required for aftermarket headers. But, a tune will get you the most out of the upgrade.

Q: Subie Rumble (equal Vs. un-equal length) J.Hick5 years ago
I've head from multiple sources that equal length headers will get rid of the boxer rumble? Not completely eliminate it but make it more subtle. Trying not to lose that rumble, want to know if I should get an un-equal length or equal length?

A: You will lose the "boxer rumble" with equal length headers but will gain more top end power.
