This is the Humble Rumble Firewall Spot Weld Replacement Hardware Kit. The clutch and pedal assembly in your vehicle is mounted onto a bracket that is spot welded on the firewall using (6) 5mm diameter spot welds. The thin firewall will eventually lose the thin 5mm spot welds through the use of the clutch pedal which will lead to a squeaky clutch, and sometimes a squeaky brake pedal. This hardware kit will replace those spot welds to reinforce the firewall where the clutch pedal is mounted.

This hardware kit was fairly simple to install, and well worth the price. I did need a friend to push/pull back the firewall insulation for a few of the bolts. I did end up losing one off the wire, however even with 5 out of the 6 spot welds replaced with studs, the pedal assembly has never felt more stable and is noise free!

Kev Blk11'WRX hatch
My 11' WRX hatch has 150k miles on it, I bought it at 133k miles. I already had the Grimspeed brake master Cylinder brace when i bought the car. Right away I had the clutch petal squeak and I could feel the brake petal move a little with the clutch petal when I would push the clutch petal in. I got the Rallitek clutch master cylinder brace next and it made a huge difference. Got rid of the petal squeak and everything. After about 15k miles the squeak came back and I had to really tighten the clutch master cylinder brace down. I installed the Humble Rumble kit for peace of mind. My pinch welds were actually in good shape but due to the higher miles on my WRX I suspect that the firewall had been repaired before and my petal assembly looks to be replaced or repaired aswell with stronger welds on the assembly. I didn't notice much of a difference after installing this kit but I did it as preventive maintenance and peace of mind. Quality hardware and I believe adding this kit to any 08-14 Subaru WRX/STi adds value to the car in my humble opinion!
