I have a 98 impreza with a 02 WRX brake upgrade. I can tell you that when I first did the upgrade, I got the mid grade napa pads and was entirely underwhelmed at my autocross and on the streets. My 03 civic could out-perform my Subie with my upgrade. Needless to say, I ordered these pads right before my last autocross. I can tell you that there is a massive improvement in stopping power. It has transformed my subie into the best-stopping vehicle that I have ever owned. I can easily lock up my front tires now, thus forcing me to upgrade my subie's rear brakes. Please note that my Subie came from the factory with rear drums (which is why I need to upgrade). One thing to note, these pads perform best at temperature. They are not weak when they are cold, just more grippy when warm. For autocross this changed the braking dynamics throughout the course.

I must say I wasn't expecting the amount of bite these have. Finished the install on a rainy day and activated abs about 3 times before I got used to the new pedal feel. This was accentuated by ss lines, new fluid, and new tires but I must say these pads are nice. Expect LOTS of dust and some noise. Used these for a track day and they did quite well!

These are the ultimate street pads for your car. They perform like a race pad but they work under street conditions. I have an 02 WRX with DBA slotted & drilled 1 piece rotors and HP+ pads and SS lines. I also own a stock 07 STi and in my opinion the WRX stops better than the STi no joke. They are noisy and very dusty and they will eat at your rotors a bit but they work flawlessly at all times.
