TLDR; Good quality, watch for clearance around the cat if it covers it. Bought this to go over the Invidia Catted Downpipe. I have the pipe with the extra bung for another O2 sensor, and this covers that obviously, so beware of that. Another thing to note, with the catalytic converter being where it is on the pipe, fitment is a little bit of a hassle. I couldn't get the blanket all the way around it, however I got really close. I'm sure with a bit extra elbow grease you can make it happen. Keeps things rather cool, although I haven't yet tested this in the summer, but the engine bay is staying much cooler in general even for winter. I feel like the price is a bit steep for this but since it's one of the only blankets for downpipes on the market you cant really do much about that.
Keep the heat where it's supposed to be

I installed this with a Cobb bellmouth downpipe to cut down on the heat reaching the intercooler, firewall and CV boot. None of these are places you really want to be pumping heat into. Easy install from underneath the car. It does rub a bit on the firewall with this downpipe but doesn't touch anything else. A little on the pricey side, but being able to easily remove it means if I ever need to swap downpipes I'll be in better shape.

I bought this for the purpose of protecting my CV Boot from being burned up by the cat on my Invidia catted DP. The Dp was already installed so it took me a little while to figure out how to wire up the blanket. Once I figured it out though, it wasn't too difficult. I ran out of wire so I could not get to the last ring (wired from top to bottom); had to stop at the second to last ring. Also, the blanket doesn't completely cover the cat so a bit of the cat is still exposed near the CV boot. The blanket is staying on though; so I hope all goes well.

super easy to install even with the downpipe on the car. It really helps reduce heat in the bay Also, works well with a turbo & uppipe blanket
Perrin Downpipe Thermal Blanket

Very easy to install. Took about 10 mins. I actually bought this not for its intended purpose, but to keep the heat from the downpipe away from the CV boot. I had to replace 2 boots in 3 years and determined it was because of the heat from my Cobb downpipe. Hard to tell if it did anything to improve performance. Nothing significant, anyway.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Q: Over a Cat Cornbread 7 months agoAnswer
I was planning on putting this over a Invidia catted downpipe and it would sit over the cat. Would this affect the cat in any way (cause it to overheat, damage it, etc...)?
A: We have not heard of any overheating issues when running this blanket.

Can this be wrapped about the dp while the dp is still on the car?
A: You can install it while on the car, just will be harder. Much easier if it wasn't on the car.

Anyone have pics installed on an invidia cattless down pipe? Anyone done modification for the extra o2 bung? Thanks.
A: We unfortunately do not have any pictures of this blanket installed on an Invidia catless downpipe at this time and we have not tried to trim one for an extra O2 bung.
