Green is good

Install was a breeze with or without a harness bar. The only issue with the Snap-On version is the amount of space needed for the eye-bolts, especially the lap belt which needs to use the seat belt bucket as anchor point. You will need to either cut out a hole in the center console carpet or find another location. I chose the latter and mounted it to the rear bolt of the seat rail. I'm sure some people may not agree to this method, but I have eyeball the downward angle of the belt and I think it should be within range (~80 degree measured from the hip joint horizontally according to Schroth instruction). I'll only be using them on the track (coming up in a few days). I'm confident that they will strap me in good so my body has one less thing to deal with.

Love these belts!

Just incredibly high quality and great looking belts, whats more to say?

  • Q: Expiration date  rosadojay70218 1 year ago

If I were to buy one soon, what would be the expiration date on it? Thanks

    • A: The current stock came to us February or March of 2016 so the manufacturing date is within the early 2016 period. How long your harnesses are valid for use is determined solely by your sanctioning body.

  • Q: How to secure  Pete335xi09 2 years ago

How should these belts be secured? Can the shoulder straps be secured under the drivers seat after I install racing seats?

    • A: The only way that racing harnesses can be safely installed is with a harness bar. We highly recommend avoiding any other type of mounting due to the extreme dangers associated with it.

  • Q: Street Legal/Mounting  SubieSTi13 3 years ago

Is this harness street legal? and where would the lap belt be mounted? Thank you

    • A: This harness is not DOT approved and may not be legal for street use. The lap belts can usually be installed in or near the stock location holes, but that will depend on the vehicle.

    • A: For a 2013 STI Hatch?

      SubieSTi13 3 years ago
    • A: There are some factory bolt holes that can be used to mount the lap belt on a 2013 STI.

      Zach G. 3 years ago
    • A: Do you know where I can find those holes? and do they just screw in or is there another nut involved? Thank You!

      SubieSTi13 3 years ago
    • A: In order to find the stock mounting holes you will need to remove the stock seat to see the holes, which are already threaded.
