GrimmSpeed Uppipe
Subaru Models (inc. 2006-2014 WRX / 2004+ STI)
Features & Product Details
GrimmSpeed is no stranger when it comes to creating artistic metal pieces that add horsepower. Their up-pipe is no exception. The Grimmspeed Uppipe will eliminate the factory restrictive up-pipe, and with a larger diameter should increase spool and add as much as +10WHP. For the cost and horsepower ratio, you cannot go wrong.
The GrimmSpeed Uppipe is fabricated out of 304 stainless steel and has a pipe thickness of 2.0MM. The inlet size is 1.93”, and the outlet size is 1.72”. The pipe that tapers down to 1.72” acts as a funnel as it moves into the turbo allowing for the smoothest transition and best air quality. The flex joint is not located in the bend, which adds to the life expectancy of the flex section. The outlet size is a perfect match to the most common stock location turbos allowing for a smooth transition into the turbo in the 06-14 Subaru WRX and 04+ STI!
Included will be all the hardware and gaskets to make for a ready installation.

Great product. Went in easy. Will definitely be using this company for other exhaust products
My factory up-pipe rusted through and was sending exhaust fumes into the cabin. Several internet searches made it clear the an aftermarket pipe is LESS expensive than a Subaru replacement. I have the GrimmSpeed divorced catted down-pipe and the quality is amazing so the obvious choice was Their up-pipe. The piece is just as high quality as the DP with gaskets and hardware included. The installation was not easy because of the O2 sensor, I needed a new one so take My advice. Drop the P.S. manifold and take it to an exhaust shop to remove the O2 sensor.
This product is one of the first GrimmSpeed Products I have purchased, I was debating between the Invidia up-pipe, the Cobb up-pipe and this one. I decided on this one because of the flex joint, after i received the product i compared it to some of my friends up-pipes i realized that the flanges were thicker, the pipe itself is a little thicker and the welds are done incredibly nice.. Overall thicker flanges and pipe means less likely to warp or damage, flex joint allows it to have a little bit of movement if ever needed and the welds don't disrupt airflow and I'm not worried about them cracking, EXTREMELY SATISFIED HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Another great product from an awesome company! First impression of this up-pipe when compared to stock is nothing short of amazing. The stock up-pipe is so restrictive that it is no wonder that this up-pipe has such a great performance gain. The overall build quality is awesome! Super thick flanges, thick tubing, thick flanges, and high quality welds. The kit also comes with all needed gaskets and hardware, which makes for a straight forward install.
Well crafted, welds are spot on & quality is top notch as expected from Grimmspeed! Paired these with the GS Exhaust Manifold gaskets & couldn't be happier~ No leaks, perfect fit and quality 100%! All hardware included too, perfect on my 03 WRX,

Q: 2006 OBXT Eric67ct8 months ago
I have a 2006 Outback XT with catted up pipe. Will this part fit? It says it won't. Also, what are the part numbers of all the gaskets needed to replace the parts removed to replace the up pipe (not just the 2 gaskets that come with the up pipe)? Thanks!

A: Grimmspeed has not tested fitment for your Outback, but we do have some options that are confirmed to fit. Give us a call and we can get you taken care of including all of the gaskets.

A: Lane, Since your reply earlier I was able to get gaskets except for the manifold gaskets (I reused them since the Grimmspeed sent me the wrong gaskets). I used the resistor mod and so far so good! Thanks, Eric

A: It is usually beneficial to wrap pipes to help with heat soak, or even just to cool off the rest of the engine bay. It also makes working on an engine bay easier and causes less burnt fingers.
