I bought mine a year ago, so this is a follow-up that I wanted to share. Super easy installation. As another review remarked: I too bought additional tubing for installation. Also, the position of the vacuum tube nipple was such that it was very close to the strut bar. Over the past year due to movement of the engine and suspension, it actually hit the strut bar enough to the point that a tear in the vacuum tube cause a lean code to trigger (P-0171). I forgot that the cap, which houses the vacuum tube tube and nipple can be rotated into four positions. The top screws need to be removed. Be careful, as the spring seated directly under the cap is quite strong. I rotated the cap 90 degrees counter-clockwise and all is good. NOTE: Pictures show my ziptie job to hold it in place when I did the testing after I replaced the tubing.
I used this respons blow off valve on my wrx and loved. The. I tried it on my 2014 evo x and it doesn't hold the boost. The throttle was choppy. I even set the preload to full stuff and still had issues. Waste of money for the evo. Oem is better.
Everything about this BOV is amazing! It was easy to install and it was great when i put it on! It sounds good and it looks fantastic! The only thing is that on my 2008 Evo X the tube leading from the bronze piece to the actual pipe itself wasn't long enough so i went to the closest Auto part store and bought a foot of the tube! T Hat is the only thing that needed to be changed, other than that this piece is amazing!
Very easy install on my Evo x. GFB makes high quality parts and this isn't any different. Big fan of this BOV. Great upgrade.

Q: 2014 Evo X GSR fitment? rodrigomb922711157 years ago
will this work for my 2014 EVO X GSR? and will it throw any codes? I bought the Turbosmart Dual Port and it threw a code after hard acceleration.

A: A valve should not throw a code, I recommend checking the code and finding the issue. This should not throw a code although depending on how much atmospheric bias you run there will be side effects like rich spikes on shifts or a rough idle. To avoid these a recirculating setup is recommended.

Q: Turbosmart or Go fast bits ? slammedevoxftw7 years ago
Does this have the same adjust ability as the turbosmart bov ?

A: This offers more adjustability. Spring pre-load can be adjusted similarly but the ratio of venting to atmosphere or recirculating unlike the turbosmart is entirely adjustable.

A: As Nick said, the GFB valve is not just a fixed ratio 50/50 valve like the Turbosmart, you can set the venting ratio anywhere between full recirc and full atmosphere.
