I luckily did not experience the problem with burred edges on the plug threads like others have reported. Also, either I was unobservant or the website pictures weren't revealing enough at my time of purchase, but I bought a separate galley plug washer and you actually do not need one with this item; it already comes with a brass washer in the bag. Works fine once installed. Worth mentioning: if you are using the Prosport digital oil pressure gauge with this product, save yourself some trouble and install the galley plug in the location nearest the firewall. Prosport's bulky sensor will not fit underneath the alternator.
When I received the oil galley plug, the starter threads were heavily burred, and I did not even attempt to install the plug. I had to take a fine pitch metal file and reshape/de-burr the threads. After this, the plug threaded in just fine. I've included a before and after picture for clarification on this problem. I believe the problem that I had is a widespread one, because if you look at the starter threads in the pictures here on Rallysportdirect, they are burred as well. If anyone is wondering, the torque spec is 18 ft lbs, I had to dig a while to find this.
