Features & Product Details

COBB Tuning has developed the Flex Fuel Ethanol Sensor Kit so that users can successfully convert to ethanol. Ethanol allows users to run more boost which provides them with more power as long as there is a healthy amount of ethanol in the fuel. The sensor kit is an essential component in making sure the fuel you have is safe enough to drive on. Gas stations that supply ethanol often times have inconsistent blends depending on the season, or the supplier. If you continue to run higher than normal boost levels on ethanol with a low content, then you highly risk damaging your engine.

COBB has designed their flex fuel sender to measure the content of the ethanol , and the data gets converted into a signal that is sent to the ECU, so that it can make the correct calibrations based on the ethanol content. These calibrations can be displayed on a custom Accessport monitor. Now you can run ethanol with a peace of mind without the inherent expensive costs of race gas.  This is a plug and play solution to provide the user with convenient information on the ethanol content rather than performing time consuming testing.

Included in this kit is a billet aluminum converter case, a coated aluminum sensor mount, OEM style electrical connectors, OEM style fuel line connectors, and the necessary hardware needed for installation.

COBB Tuning Subaru Flex Fuel Ethanol Sensor Kit  2 months ago
5out of 5stars

Pretty straight forward install if you know how to read and use tools. Exactly what is pictured is exactly what you're receiving. All in all great kit, if you have the money and/or you want a more reliable car running e85 this will help. If you have an EJ motor its recommended to get the fuel pressure sensor (do not shortcut it) If you have a 2015+WRX or Forester XT, you will NOT need the extra sensor due to your car being Direct Injected.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

  • Q: fitting size  James1 month ago

What size or the fittings and or hose? -6 or 8 AN. My upgraded fuel system is all -6AN will your flex kit work on my 2019 sti?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The part number you are referencing actually includes fuel lines that are made of 5/16 SAE 30R9 hose with 3/8 EFI quick disconnects going to the sensor and 5/16 quick disconnect at the feed. The connection sizes at the sensor are also 3/8. ![](https://images.rallysportdirect.com/image/private/s--3H_aXp-n--/f_auto,t_auto_rsd_product/v1/product_images/cob_315600_6)

A:  It is recommended to use a fuel pressure regulator when installing this flex fuel sensor. This kid will not come with a fuel pressure regulator.
