COBB Tuning Fuel Pressure Regulator Kit

MODEL # COB315200

$300.00

  • Q: 2017 Sti  Eulises6 months ago

Would this work well if I were to purchase Cobb's FPR manifold relocation kit at the same time?
  • Q: Difference Between Kits  chris.ollenburg493518 months ago

I'm considering purchasing the fuel upgrade package to fix the 2800 rpm stumble on my 2008 STi. However, I'd like to make sure I can upgrade to flex fuel in the future without having to repurchase any fuel lines or duplicate kits with minimal differences. What is difference in this kit versus which is included in the cobb fuel upgrade package versus the one provided by the cobb flex fuel package (https://www.rallysportdirect.com/fits/2009-subaru-impreza-wrx-sti-hatchback-2-5/fuel-pressure-regulators/315250-cobb-tuning-fuel-pressure-regulator-to-fuel-rail-kit). Also, why is this kit $25 more expensive? Flex Fuel Package I'm considering: https://www.rallysportdirect.com/part/flex-fuel/sub000fsff-cobb-tuning-fuel-system-flex-fuel-package Fuel System Package I'm considering: https://www.rallysportdirect.com/part/fuel-rails/sub000fsys-cobb-tuning-fuel-system-package Thanks!

A:  This kit is meant to work with the OEM lines, the other kit you linked is for Cobb's rail/line kit.

  • Q: Quick disconnect connectors are different  Vaughn1 year ago

Why are the quick disconnect connectors in the kit I received completely different than those in the picture? Everything installed and doesn't appear to be leaking. Is this just an update to their kit? Please help!
  • Q: Tuning...  Vaughn2 years ago

Just curious, what exactly needs to be changed on the map to allow the safe usage of this? I've already got a tuner on my agenda but I've been wondering what exactly is being changed on the tune.
  • Q: How do I know I need this kit?  DinoMagic2 years ago

what are the symptoms that one would experience to help them confirm whether this kit is needed? I often feel a stumble after I've shifted into 2nd gear. It's most noticeable in second gear in lower RPMs and I haven't noticed it in other gears. I have a 2016 STI with 1000cc injectors and 255 walbro fuel pump.

A:  thats something only a tuner will tell you, he is the one that knows your car. He should told you if you needed one at the moment of the tune. If you are running 1000cc injectors im assuming you already have a map done in your car.

  • Q: pressures  godmodeon3 years ago

What p.s.i. does this put out on idle after warming up, and driving (WOT)?
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The regulator will hold a constant 43.5psi of differential pressure. If manifold pressure goes up or down, the regulator pressure will go up or down the same amount. (It will be 53.5 PSI at 10lbs of boost in the manifold). [email protected]

Will this work on my 2009 wrx with the Perrin rails?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Typically the STi models only see the severe fuel pulsations on the with upgraded injectors. The WRX has a different fuel pressure regulator setup from the factory that does not contribute to those pulsations with upgraded fuel injectors.

  • Q: Will this work on a 2014 wrx  guest56299b754ea8c3a5338b45864 years ago

I've looked online for a fuel pressure regulator for my 2014 wrx and can't find anything about one at all only stuff about the sti and I'm a little confused about it all does my can not have I've or need one? What am I not understanding here
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This will work for a 2014 wrx. Generally the regulator controls the fuel pressure and returns any excess fuel to the tank. The regulator is important to ensure that the injectors operate properly. Subaru's are known for having a slight fuel stumble at times, this will cure that issue.

  • Q: Updated kit?  Jay B4 years ago

As I understand Cobb has released a kit that includes a relocation of one of the line to the intake manifold. Is this the updated version of their kit?
