DeatschWerks Fuel Injectors Side Feed 1000cc ( Part Number: 02J-00-1000-4)
Buy something else - these have design flaws  3 years ago

These injectors shouldn't even be sold. It's no reflection on RSD, it's a reflection on DW. I had a set of these installed on my 2004 STI with a custom tune by one of the finest tuners in the country. They promptly went ultra-rich and melted one of my pistons within an hour of runtime. The injectors flow the numbers and the spray pattern is fine, but they intermittently malfunction and dump fuel. I'm not the first guy to have this problem. Do a little searching, these things are awful. If you need larger injectors on a side-feed application, do a top-feed conversion.

Well I spent a lot of money building my 06 sti I have this injectors they was fine on pump gas 93 till 400whp, I don't know how but I put the car on a mustang dyno 22 pounds, motor sleeve stage 3 car was doing 450whp this injectors failed to cilinder#3 they only good for 400whp and less, I don't blame the injectors, was the tuner, they got me, now I'm going with a close deck stage 4 id 2000, e85 sometime you let shops make their work, not this time trust was my fault, you guys sell good product is the people's don't think sometimes and trust too much...don't forget that I have a wallbro255, perrin fuel rails, now I am going safe bigger pump too

  • Q: TD05H 20G TURBO REPLACEMENT  semprfi17101433 years ago

I purchased these along with a DW300 fuel pump for my 06 STI will these be sufficient for the bigger turbo i am putting in since my stock one died after 156k miles
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  These injectors will be plenty large for a 20G turbo, and they will support up to approximately 500whp on pump gas, which is much more than the turbo is rated for.

  • Q: Ideal?  Elsydeon4 years ago

Will my DW200 fuel pump be able to utilize these fuel injectors or will I need to go with the 850cc's?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  You will need a fuel pump that flows at least 240 Liters Per Hour (LPH) to run 1000cc injectors. The DW200 fuel pump flows 255 LPH.

  • Q: Reliability   JWSTI4 years ago

I've been told to stay away from Deatschwerks injectors because they are just bored out oem cores, they all flow at different rates, there unreliable and they will cause you to have a inconsistent idle. How true are these statements? Has Deatschwerks improved their injectors? Or were any of these things ever a problem? I've been on the fence about buying Deatschwerks or doing a top feed conversion but I've heard more bad things about them, then good things.
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Hello JWSTI, Our injectors are flow tested many times throughout the production process. Each set is flow matched and balance to our specs before production is completed. A flow report unique to that specific set is included within the packaging of every set.

  • Q: Should i go bigger  Toby5 years ago

would these be good for 400whp on e85 and 93 octane on a haltech flex fuel tune ?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  E85 will require a higher demand of fuel, and I would recommend a larger top feed setup.
