RallySport Direct is proud to carry the Competition Clutch Lightweight Flywheel. Lightweight Flywheels improve the performance because the lighter they are, the less rotational mass will be had at the crank. This means that you will have faster revs and improved engine response. I have a light drive train, aluminum, drive shaft, Perrin vibration dampener, and this light flywheel. No codes and easy to takeoff from stop. No vibrations detected, when assembled by shop. Immediately drove on 1200mile trip. When very hot and taking off the clutch made large vibration. I think the mechanics that installed parts gunned it around town before I got it. I took it easy and it is close enough to stock quiet that I'm happy. Noticed some improved revs and some more performance.
Had it for about 500 miles. Took a little getting used to in low RPMs and RPMs drop a little more between shifts.
I paired this with a Stage 3 CC clutch. I did notice more vibrations around 2700 rpms and up. Between shifts the rpms do drop a little quicker. It did make a little difference in low rpm drivability. Now with 1500 miles the vibrations have subsided and it's almost back to stock.
No cel code, but you do have to rev it just a little higher to engauge, 200rpms max. Kinda a pain in stop and go traffic but I did the stage 2. Will update when It's broken in more.
Lighter. Perfect fitment. Not too light to require heeltoe on daily drive

Q: Resurfacing? JaviG5 months ago
I bought a Competition Clutch 1.5 stage with Lightweight Flywheel kit about 3 years ago. Unfortunately my transmission broke 2nd gear on my daily driver. So I was thinking to use the CC OEM clutch 8037-STOCK and reuse the existing flywheel. Any recommendations? Resurface or Not? Buy new one? OUCH?

Q: some info please Robbie083112 months ago
im about to make a purchase for your CC stage 4 clutch kit. im currently stock and im not that concerned about it being rough till i modify my car but would this flywheel match well with CC stage 4 clutch kit? Thank you in advance for your response!

A: This will work well with the stage 4 kit, but puck clutches can be a bit more rough and tricky to drive, especially with a light flywheel. If your power goals are within their rating, Comp's Stage 2-3 kits will be a bit less harsh.
