Great flywheel, If you are decent at feathering the clutch and don't drive exclusively on hills, I would recommend this flywheel for daily driving. The amount of speed you gain in revving and downshifting is worth it alone, not to mention the nice race car level gear whine you get. And its cheaper than OEM flywheel as well. If you get misfires after installing this don't worry, its your crank angle sensor.
This was for my JDM GC8 WRX that needed a new clutch, so might as well get a new flywheel too and am very happy with this one. This was pared with the Exedy OEM clutch kit and was installed professionally. Drivability is about the same, you just need to give it a bit more gas when starting but doesn't make my car harder to drive. Rev-matching is a lot easier and quicker now. The only con I've experienced is engine braking is reduced quite a lot.
Paired this with the Exedy OEM clutch on my 2005 WRX. Revs and gear shifts are faster. Takes some getting used to but once you get the feel of it, it's great. The 'chatter' is almost non existent, especially if you have a cat back. Over all a great improvement over stock.
There's always horror stories about gear rattle and other obnoxious sounds that occur when installing a lightweight flywheel, but this one is quiet as if it were OEM. Paired with an EXEDY OEM clutch, the drivability is much better than stock. If for whatever reason you need to pull your tranny or engine, this is a great upgrade to do while you have it out.
Appears to be half the weight of the OEM Easy install. Bolts up easily. Combined with the ACT clutch assembly it was and easy install. Engine revs a bit easier at idle and between shifts. Very nice. Much better tha OEM

How does this affect driveabilty? Pros/Cons? Do you guys have any OEM replacement flywheels?

A: Lightweight flywheels typically make the vehicle a bit easier to stall, but also have the benefit of reducing rotating mass on the motor, which typically results in more power to the wheels and quicker revving for up and downshifts. We do offer OEM flywheels for certain vehicles, but we don't have one confirmed for the 03 WRXs at this time.
