Oil has 2 major properties in a motor, lubrication and cooling. Under hard driving conditions the OEM oil cooler is not able to keep the temperatures down, the temperatures rapidly increase to the point at which the oil gets so hot that it starts breaking down, making proper lubrication and cooling impossible.

The Greddy Oil cooler kit is the most complete and compact on the market. Featuring a large 13row core, sandwich adapter with a built in thermostat, mounting hardware, AN fittings and lines make this the ultimate kit.

By integrating a built in thermostat, the oil has a chance to get up to proper operating temperature of 175 degrees and stay there with only slight increase in temperature when the car is driven hard.

Another key feature to this kit, is the increased oil capacity. By increasing the amount of oil that the car holds. The same oil is not being cycled as quickly allowing it keep its properties.

These features make this a MUST on anyone's list who drives their car on track, or lives in very hot climates.

  • Q: Hose dimensions  Rick 10 months ago

Do you by chance have the length of the hoses for this kit? I would like to know so I can do a mock up since I intend to use it on my 2004 Forester XT. Thank you.

    • A: Unfortunately, the hoses are cut exactly to vehicle standards. You could most likely use this on your Forester as the GD's had a lot in common with the XT's. However we CANNOT confirm.

  • Q: What do the brackets attach to?  shelbyglhs6369484 2 years ago

I have a V7 Sti and am interested in this oil cooler. Do the brackets attach to oil cooler to the bumper cover or the bumper support? I have an APS FMIC and it replaces the stock bumper support. Do you have any pictures of the oil cooler installed in the car?

    • A: Sorry but we do not have any photos of this installed on a car. This would probably require custom mounting with a front mount intercooler as this oil cooler would be in the way of the core up front or it would be in the way of the piping with a side mount.

  • Q: fmic fittment?  shapirotrevor80956 5 years ago

can this part be installed in conjunction with a fmic? as in will the cooler get in the way of piping?

    • A: It does depend which intercooler kit, but in most cases this oil cooler would be in the way of the piping. There are usually ways to mount it but it may have to be a custom setup.

  • Q: Installation of Oil Cooler  Pan 5 years ago

May I ask if the installation of this Greddy Oil Cooler Kit(GRE 12064605) requires the removal of the fog lights and brackets? My GDF Sti is still on stock TMIC. Thanks

    • A: The design that Greddy made, is for the heat exhanger to be mounted behind the fog light cover on the front left side.

  • Q: removal of oem oil cooler????  warlord_x69 5 years ago

If i would buy an external oil cooler like the greddy one would i have to remove the oem oil cooler on a wrx 02 ???

    • A: This unit replaces the factory oil cooler so yes it would be removed. There is the possibility to run both as a custom setup but the GReddy unit should be more than enough to keep your oil cool.
