South Bend Clutch Stage 2 Daily Clutch Kit
Subaru WRX 2006-2017
Features & Product Details
RallySport Direct proudly carries a great selection of quality clutch replacements to suit stock to highly modified vehicles brought to you by South Bend Clutch.
This is the South Bend Stage 2 Daily Clutch Kit. This clutch kit is ideal for those of you with bolt-on modifications that will increase the power and the torque of your engine, which would otherwise surpass the limits of your OEM clutch kit. This kit combines South Bend's Heavy Duty Pressure Plate with their Organic Disc to provide an increase in clamp load, while the high metal content of the disc will increase the friction that will hold the power down twice as much when compared to the design of the OEM disc. Furthermore, like most South Bend clutch kits, the Stage 2 Daily Clutch Kit will provide a comfortable, stock feel that is livable for daily use but will provide the clutch performance needed for those weekend track events.

After 10k miles and a year of driving, the clutch started slipping. My wrx is a daily driven, never tracked stage 2. Took it apart, clutch in good condition but slips under WOT 3rd gear. I would not recommend this clutch.
Had a stg 3 comp clutch segmented disk, ended up breaking the pivot and scoring on the side of the road. That clutch is only for racing. South bend clutch is amazing, stock feel, very quick engagement, and with a billet pivot, drives like a totally different car. Love it!!
So I’m going to be throwing more power at my 2013 WRX in the very near future, and my throw out bearing was starting to go out and I figured you know what, let’s just get a new clutch and flywheel since the transmission is going to be dropped anyway. For a car that’s primarily stock, it’s great, it feels so much lighter than the stock clutch, it’s way more engaging as well. It took a little bit to get used to, I had to start giving it higher revs when taking off from first gear but it’s easy to get used to in a couple days. And it’s really not insanely higher revs, just a tad bit higher, enough for me to notice. Overall it’s great, especially if you’re looking for a better feeling/engaging clutch. I had another shop that I work next to install it due to lack of experience with clutches and lack of time, so I can’t really say how easy or hard the install was! Until I throw more power at it shortly, I won’t know how it’s going to hold up.

Q: 2012 Subaru WRX protuned SYoder562 years ago
My stage 2 protuned WRX is dynoed at 310 torque this clutch is rated for 315 lbs of torque will this one be fine or should I go with something a little stronger

A: If you put down 315 torque to the wheels on the dyno, you would need a stronger clutch, this is rated for 315 at the flywheel. Give us a call and we can help you find a more suitable setup.

Q: Is this clutch good Luis3 years ago
I have a 2013 wrx, car was tuned for flex fuel making 300 whp on 91 and 356 whp on e85 on stock block with full bolt ons. Upgrading to a IAG stage 2 block and getting retuned. Will this clutch be able to handle the increased power? Or what do clutch do u recommend?

A: This clutch would not be quite enough for your setup. I'd recommend going for ACT's XTreme Street setup or Comp's Stage 2 w/flywheel setup.
