Features & Product Details
Ever since the release of the ever popular RS model, companies such as custom performance engineering are wasting no time making go-fast parts to enhance your driving experience. This is the cp-e DFlow Cold Air Intake System designed to be a direct replacement of the factory intake. The factory intake is a great design, but it can be restrictive because they have to be universally compliant with all local and state provisions just like any other OEM part. However, this particular intake will allow the turbocharger to breathe a little better which will result in more horsepower, more torque, reduced turbo lag and improved throttle response.
This intake features a smooth aluminum pipe with mandrel bends that minimize the air turbulence under acceleration. This pipe will come powder-coated a nice black finish to provide the engine with clean looks, and to have extra protection against rust and corrosion. The pipe leads to the filter which can be serviced throughout your regular maintenance routines. The filter is then encased with a pretty slick box which shields the intake from harmful engine bay temps, and from other debris that could possibly enter the engine bay. Yet, it is properly vented to get the air the intake needs. The box also has a plexiglass window to allow users to visually inspect the condition of the filter throughout time.
Multi-layered silicone couplers, hardware, and clamps will be supplied to make this intake ready for installation.

If an Item is CARB exempt it means that it has undergone an engineering evaluation by CARB (California Air Recourses Board) and is shown to not increase vehicle emissions. If an item is CARB Exempt it will have an EO (Executive Order) number associated with it. Even if an item has an EO number it is not guaranteed to be CARB exempt for your vehicle. It is important to confirm that your Year Make and Model fall under the CARB EO number associated with the part. That can be confirmed either by checking the CARB website or the manufacturers website.
