  • Q: Exhaust   Jey s.2 years ago

  • Q: Invidia r400  Ethanjprlta2 years ago

Just to confirm, does this adpator comes with gasket? and do i need it adapter for individia r400?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  A gasket is included, you would need an adapter to go from a stock 2.5" downpipe to a 3" cat back.

  • Q: Grimspeed catback adapter  Josh2 years ago

Hello, I'm planning on buying the Invidia R400 Gemini Single Layer Quad SS Tip Cat Back Exhaust Subaru WRX / STI 2015-2020 and Invidia Catless Downpipe / J-Pipe Subaru WRX 2015-2020 6MT. Do I need the adapter since it wont be a stock j pipe anymore?
  • Q: Looking to buy this with the Invidia R400 - 2019 WRX  alamsas3 years ago

Just wanted to confirm how many gaskets come with this product? I'm guessing the tapered side (female?) is where the oem donut gasket sits in between the adapter and the stock DP? The other side of the gasket is for the midpipe of the exhaust? If there's 2, I'm not sure what the other gasket is for. Wouldn't the invidia exhaust come with a midpipe to dp gasket as well? I'm guessing that goes in between the adapter and the midpipe? Thanks,
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This will come with 1 gasket, but you are correct in that the R400 will come with this gasket already, but Grimmspeed includes it just incase you don't have one. Hope this helps. Thanks!

  • Q: Gap between stock DP and Tomei  SMsubaru3 years ago

when bolting up the tomei with the adapter and donut gasket to stock DP there is a gap between the two pipes. Is this just supposed to press against the donut gasket and be sealed? Ive got it torqued down pretty tight and doesnt appear to be leaking but it just looked weird to me

Would this work with a Fujitsubo Authorize RM catback that has 70mm piping?
  • Q: How to properly use  Blown Headgasket4 years ago

So I need the adapter plus a donut gasket to have it ensure a proper seal? Or is a donut gasket not needed with this?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  If you have an OEM or OEM diameter downpipe this will fit perfectly. You don't need a new donut gasket, but it is highly recommended.

I would like to change my current set up to a Cobb downpipe catted bellmouth and to a invidia r400 catback on my 2013 sti sedan, would I need this adapter?
  • Q: Cobb Catback  04Sti4 years ago

Hello, i was wondering if i need this for the Cobb catback while running stock DP on an '04 STi? Thanks
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This adapter would not be needed for the Stock downpipe to Cobb Catback connection. The Cobb Catback tapers down to 2.5 inches like stock. You would just need a donut gasket for the connection.

I am currently using this on my stock DP with the Invidia N1 Race Exhaust but now I am going to buy an Invidia Downpipe, would this still work? Or do I have to buy another gasket for the set up?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This will work while you're running the OEM downpipe. Once you install the Invidia, you'll just want a regular 3" 2 bolt gasket.

A:  Answered my own question when I bought the Cobb downpipe and Invidia cst back: no you do not need this. Kinda peeved I wasted the money when the Cobb comes with a regular flange and just an adapter for the stock donut style.

  • Q: Namless Catback exhaust   Chris 5 years ago

Hi i currently have a nameless catback exhaust setup and plan on getting an invidia downpipe, would i still need to get this adpater?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  You will need the opposited adapter that converts a 3 inch downpipe to OEM exhaust. Yes I am aware you said Nameless catback but you will still be utilizing stock sizing.

  • Q: Exhaust seal  Neez 067 years ago

I want to connect oem dp to 3in CB. To get a perfect seal with this product , will I still need to use the stock donut gasket on the dp side and a 3in gasket on the CB side?
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Yes, you will want the OEM donut gasket on the down pipe, then the adapter, then the gasket to the catback. There is a picture under User Media on this product page that gives a good explanation of how the products should sit.
