  • Q: 3inch midpipe to stock cbe?   Jacksont3451 year ago

Will this adapter connect a 3 inch invidia mid pipe to the OEM 2.5 catback? Or will it only work with the stock mid pipe directly to the Invidia 3 inch Down pipe?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This is designed to fit a 3 inch down pipe and mate up to a OEM catback. We are not able to confirm fitment anywhere else in the exhaust system.

  • Q: Help  Jhayy2 years ago

I Have a 3' Invidia downpipe that I plan to put on my 05 wrx, and already installed is a Tanabe Super Medallion Racing catback exhaust. I can't find much information on this catback because it seems to not be in production any longer. So i ask; Will I need this part?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  If your catback exhaust has a 3" flange where it connects to the down pipe, you shouldn't need the adapter.

  • Q: GRIMMSPEED ADAPTER  scott.beeson440963 years ago

Im installing a GrimmSpeed Downpipe and Cobb Catback exhaust. Should I use the GS 3" DP to stock catback adapter to put the donut gasket on, or the other GS adapter?
  • Q: Invidia dp to stock cat back  Vasko3 years ago

I know this question had been asked before however no one seems to be mentioning the invidia is a belmouth so will that still connect to this kit and to the stock cat back without issues?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The Bellmouth is referring to the portion of the downpipe that mates to the turbo. The opposite end that mates to the catback is the same across the board. To answer your question, yes this will install just the same as any other 3 inch downpipe.

  • Q: Cobb SS Bellmouth Catted DP -- Borla CBE  SleeperLGT3 years ago

I have a 2008 Legacy GT Limited (5MT). I have a Cobb SS 3 inch bellmouth catted downpipe mated to a Borla catback exhaust (part# 140123). Is this the correct gasket to use to mate the DP and CBE? Do I need the donut gasket as well? Thanks
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This adapter is not necessary with Cobb downpipes because they have something similar built in. You can use an OEM donut gasket for that connection, and you may need longer bolts from a local hardware store.

Would this work from going from the stock DP to an invidia G200 catback on a 05' FXT? I purchased the exhaust and now have a leak, I was curious if it would just work the same way it would going from a aftermarket DP to oem catback.

  • Q: SPT Exhaust  cabucholtz5 years ago

Will this be needed for the invidia catless downpipe to hookup to the spt exhaust? Or will i be okay with out it?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  It will depend on the sizing of the pipe. If the DP uses a 3 flange and the catback uses a 2.5 it should work great! Mike

I plan to get a invidia downpipe with a perrin catback system will this gasket work for my setup?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This adapter is not necessary for the connection between an Invidia downpipe and Perrin cat back because they both use a 3 inch 2 bolt flange. You can use a 3 inch 2 bolt gasket without the adapter.

  • Q: dp to stock exhaust  tommyshibby5 years ago

I'm bout to get an invidia catted dp and I will run to stock hatchback cat back, what else do I need apart from this adapter, the turbo heat shield, and the turbo to dp gasket?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  You will also want a 3 2 bolt gasket along with a donut gasket. This will allow you to replace all old gaskets with new gaskets at time of install. The 3 gasket will go against the downpipe side of the adapter and the donut gasket will go against the catback side of the adapter.

Ok so I bought a 3 bellmouth dp for my 2006 wrx wagon it has a spt exhaust that is 3 but tapers off to a 2.25 at the midpipe where it connects to the downpipe will this product work for me or are there any other ones that I should try?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  I would confirm but you factory exhaust is 2.5 at the down pipe connection so it seems odd that the SPT exhaust would go smaller. This is only designed to go from a 3 to a 2.5 Mike

  • Q: Exhaust tips extending out  silentbushido5 years ago

I have a Blitz Nur Spec R exhaust on my 11 Sti, I have a downpipe that is running 3 where it connects to the exhaust. I know this adapter is what I need to connect the DP to the Blitz exhaust. But my question is, since the adapter has some depth and thickness to it; will it push my exhaust tips out further and kind of make it protrude out more? Just curious, b/c I don't want the tips to stick out any further. Thanks!
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The only additional room it will push your exhaust back is the thickness of the sealing flange. It should be about 1/4 Mike
