Anyone familiar with Subarus knows oil is a fiercely debated topic, but with that being said, you'll see this oil recommended more than any other... for good reason! Don't run anything else in your car! Your engine will thank you!!
Great oil! 1 year ago

I like the quality of the Motul oil. The type I'm using is designed for smaller engines that are boosted.makes sense to meWas this review helpful?

I've been using Motul 5W40 in my 2009 Subaru WRX for about four changes now, switching from Mobil 1 that would burn up overtime. This oil was recommended by a large majority of Subaru owners. I chose 40 over factory recommended 30 because I know that the Boxer tends to be a little more rough and decided to go with a higher wear grade oil, with the recommendation of a few friends, engineers, and mechanics who also own WRX's and STIs. Of course if you are just a cruiser, and do not beat your cars into submission, 30 will work just fine. If you are more of a sport enthusiast and enjoy pushing your car, 40 might better suit you. The 5W temp is perfect for my region, which is temperate climate and I experience all seasons.
