It is well known that the stock rear motor mount on the Focus ST is a weak link and cp-e™ has chosen to think outside the box on this and come up with a completely new design. To do this cp-e™ carefully studied the layout of the stock Focus ST Engine Mounts. While designing the side engine mounts it was determined that a better design could be achieved on the rear mount as well.

The way the ST engine mount system works is that the two side mounts provide a rotational mounting point, if just these two mounts are installed without a lower engine mount the bottom of the engine is free to swing like a pendulum. Now if you take the stock engine mount and put it in place with its horizontally mounted bushing and you apply some power, it will stop the engine from swinging but you are now stressing the bushing in two directions. These types of bushing are not really meant for this.

So cp-e™ came up with a way to stress the bushing in only one direction, by remaking both sides of the engine mount cp-e™ was able to mount the bushing vertically so now the pendulum effect of the engine is stretching or pushing in only one direction. This also increases the durability of the engine mount substantially.

Just had it installed within the last hour on my 2014 Ford Focus ST. Except for the increase in Cabin Vibrations at or about 1000 to 1500 RPM's it's quite a huge difference. I am certain that this vibration will decrease as more miles as driven. But when you punch the gas pedal, the car just leaps with no wheel hop at all. All the torque is delivered to the ground and the acceleration is intense. Excellent product and construction.

Just the top bolt is hard to install, you need a short wrench other then that easy.... very happie with this mount. small price to pay for what it gives you.

The difference in performance between this mount and the stock piece is unreal. There is hardly any engine movement now and wheel hop is gone. The vibration is almost startling when first starting the car immediately after installation from the mount being so stiff but it breaks in very well. Vibrations had decreased drastically after ~500 miles and are almost non existent after 1000-1200 miles.

after much researching i finally made up my mind that the cp-e stage 2 was the best way to start going. I am very happy to report that the product was 100 percent build for track and street use. installation wasn't hard at all and shipping was handle beyond words. great looks, works the way it should and well worth the money to upgrade the mount.

For anyone that has the ST this is a must buy!! I was actually scared of shifting into 2nd when going all out because there was so much pop my car felt like I would lose control for a second, but with this baby it stays on the ground just beautiful!! It does shake at idle, but my subwoofer makes the car shake a lot more!! This item is a must; worth every cent!!
