This is the COBB Tuning 4 Bar MAP Sensor, and this is a direct replacement of your factory map sensor and its purpose is to allow to run more boost pressure than the factory intended unit due to more modifications such as a larger turbocharger or other modifications. With that said, the 4-bar MAP sensor is mandatory for those who are planning on making more boost. In fact, the 4-bar MAP sensor can read up to 40 PSI of boost pressure.
Additionally, this MAP sensor will allow the ECU to retain its error reporting abilities which will illuminate a DTC if an error is detected.
