I installed these on my 2005 STI with stock rear sway bar, very easy install. I already had the front ones installed which I think is a must on these cars. The rear end links really planted the rear to the point that the front felt a bit loose again. Just ordered Whiteline 24 mm front sway bar to increase tightness in front.
I added a 22mm sway bar, then a week later put in these endlinks to replace the stock ones. All I can say is wow, the rear end feels so much tigther by comaparison, even with the the upgraded bar these took it the extra distance. A note of caution, be careful when tightening them. My torque wrench failed during install so one side stripped threads, Id say if youre using a basic small impact driver that its torque is enough to drive in the bolts. A note on installation. I did not need to lift the vehicle (on 06 sti rear springs) , the linkage lines up correctly while the wheels are on the ground. While installing the sway bar I could not install the stock linkage at all until the vehicle was on the ground.
installed on 05 STI, stock rear sway bar very simple to install with stock sway bar, fits fine, part is really beefy. car definitely has less body roll after putting these on, recommended for togue driving
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Q: Fitment? NewToTheRu3 years agoWill these links fit the 2005 forester xt in the rear? Considering it's the same part number in the aftermarket for the STI and the XT. I'm looking to install them with the white line adjustable rear sway bar.
