    Pretty incredible... 3 years ago
(This was installed on a 2003 WRX, fairly stock though has a straight pipe and a CAI. At the same time as this went in, I also installed an ACT StreetLite flywheel) I get the physics behind removing rotational mass, but nothing matters until you can feel it in the seat of your pants. I was blown away but what this (and the StreetLite) did for the performance on my car. The driveabilty has increased something wonderful. Ya' know that powershift that we do from 2nd - 3rd at 5700 RPM? Just you wait until this (these) is (are) in there. As you slam into 3rd, the RPM recovery and pull back up to 6 grand is SOOOOO much quicker. Very nice. VERY nice. Note: The 3 star "value" rating is only because of the price of the driveshaft. I'm happy, but I'd be happier at if this was more along the lines of $700. :)

Beautiful piece, solid and lighter than stock, although larger in diameter. VERY well balanced, everything feels smoother while driving; much less vibration. BE AWARE. there is a cover that is just forward of the rear diff, you need to take it off in order to remove the drive shaft. Check the clearance between the cover and the rear drive shaft joint during installation, on an 02 wrx there is not enough clearance between the two and it will prevent the drive shaft from turning. The cover needs to be grinded/cut down or left off.

Excellent addition to the Forester 6 years ago
I installed this drive shaft in my 2006 Forester XT. I have a Primitive Racing rear differential skid plate, so it took about an hour to complete the installation because that had to be removed and reinstalled. Power delivery is unbelievably smooth. It may seem pricey, but it is well worth the expense.

Best hp for the money.  8 years ago
Took only 20 mins to install. First drive my jaw hit the floor. There's such a huge difference in throttle response. The power to the tires feels like an easy 20hp. There's nothing but great things to say. Don't think about it. JUST BUY IT!!!!

How long would it last if used only for street driving?
      • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  There is not a definite answer to that as it depends on how hard the car is driven, how much power the car has, and the climate in which the car is driven.

    • Q: Application  Marseth4 years ago

Would you see a big difference with this drive shaft with street driving, or is an upgrade like this more suited for applications like drag racing or autocross?
      • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The effects of a carbon driveshaft is surprisingly noticeable and will make the engine spin more freely and helping with acceleration.
