EBC Brakes Yellowstuff Street And Track Rear Brake Pads
Subaru Models (inc. 2013+ BRZ / 2009+ Forester)
Features & Product Details
If you're looking for the ultimate street and track brake pad, then you will be pleased with the EBC Yellowstuff brake pads. EBC classifies the Yellowstuff Brake Pads as the fastest street, race, and drift racing brake pads available in their catalog. These brake pads feature a high friction formula that improves brake efficiency by 30%. Other qualities include zero brake fade and these particular pads are capable of repeated heavy brake use without brake "fall off".
These are suitable for street use as well because they do not require any warm-up sessions. They perform just as well as stock pads when cold, yet they deliver adequate stopping power for track or spirited driving conditions.
These pads are ECE R 90 approved for most cars and will deliver the performance needed on your way to a track event, at the actual track event, and on the way home.
Note that these particular Yellowstuff pads are for the rear location.

Fitted new DBA 4000 series drilled and slotted rotors, paired these brake pads with my new rotors. I had difficulty fitting these pads with the existing metal shims in place. I ended up removing the brake caliper completely and did the fitting on the bench. I had to take a file and just polish one corner of a pad for each side of the car, small adjustment but took time and effort. The yellow coating was just a little too thick in the area I had to file. Brake performance appears to be improved, after 2 weeks no excessive dust. Just waiting on the front rotors to arrive, promised for 5 weeks after rear rotor delivery, you should allow some lead time on your order due to the ongoing covid supply issues in life. Yes they are expensive but combined with the new rotors they look great and I feel I will get a significant overall brake performance once the front upgrade is fitted.
