  • Q: Fitment   lippert13.ds148781 month ago

I have a 2014 wrx with N1 race cat back. This down pipe will bolt up directly to the factory turbo? Without any problems?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This is a direct bolt on for the factory turbo on your WRX, as well as any stock location aftermarket setups that retain the OEM exhaust housing outlet flange.

A:  As with any part, we will not have a guaranteed hp/whp gain number, as it all depends on supporting mods, tuner, and how healthy the car is.

  • Q: Fitment  Dominus4 months ago

Hi RSD, I have a 2018 Sti. Will this Downpipe fit the Fujitsubo Authorize RM catback since the Fujitsubo’s piping diameter is 2.75” and this downpipe is 3”? Are there adaptors or anything needed to make it fit? Thank you
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  We cannot confirm fitment with that catback, as far as the adaptor goes we do not have anything for a 2.75" exhaust.

Will this downpipe fit with a MagnaFlow Competition Series Cat-Back System? With the rest of the engine being stock on a 2018 STI limited
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This downpipe is 3 inches in diameter, it will fit any 3" catback system without an adapter, you will simply need a 3" 2 bolt gasket.

Have they confirmed the fitment for the 2016 Subaru WRX STI for this item, read many mixed reviews thanks.
  • Q: 2015 STI  Stephandoan3 years ago

I have everything stock except intake and access port, do I need any adapters or gaskets for this down pipe? Thanks!
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  You would need a 3" downpipe to stock catback adapter as well as a replacement donut gasket is recommended. This downpipe does not include the turbo to downpipe gasket so that is recommended. Another thing to consider would be the turbo heat shield, but the stock unit can be trimmed to fit around this bellmouth.

  • Q: Gaskets!  jabad9783 years ago

With purchasing this downpipe, I'm aware of needing to purchase a brand new gasket for turbo/downpipe but I'm wondering if i also have to purchase a new gasket from downpipe to an 3" aftermarket catback exhaust?? & would it be a donut gasket or regular exhaust gasket??
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  It will depend on the size of the midpipe flange on your catback exhaust. If it is a 3" flange, you can use the included 3" 2 bolt gasket. If your exhaust is stock or uses a 2.5" flange, then I recommend getting a 3" downpipe to stock catback adapter and a new donut gasket. This adapter helps prevent leaks and allows you to use the OEM donut gasket.

  • Q: California   M818209 3 years ago

Is this downpipe California state legal?
  • Q: compatibility  mikiem3 years ago

Hello, so I purchased this downpipe as well as an aem cold air intake. A professional tuner told me that this downpipe along with the aem cold air intake would cause boost creep. Is this true? He told me that I would have to buy an external wastegate to mitigate the problem? Is what he is saying true? How would I be able to find out whether I have boost creep or not. Thanks.
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Boost creep is only an issue on catless downpipes and should not be a problem with a catted downpipe. The internal wastegate does help control boost levels but it should not be required for your setup.

  • Q: Fitting and other necessary parts  tabz993 years ago

Hi guys! I have an N1 exhaust installed on my 2015 STi already, will I have any issues if I have this downpipe? What else do I need to order (parts) just so as not to have fitment issues during installation process? THANKS!
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This downpipe will bolt up directly to the N1 exhaust, and nothing else is needed for connecting this to your Invidia catback. It is recommended to purchase a new turbo to downpipe gasket and change or trim your stock turbo heatshield because the stock shield does not fit with this downpipe.

  • Q: midpipe?  alexe4293 years ago

Does this downpipe paired with a q300 catback eliminate the stock midpipe? If not, where can I find a midpipe that will fit my 08 legacy gt?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  If you have a full Q300 system you have already eliminated your OEM midpipe. This downpipe would bolt directly the midpipe of the Q300. Just make sure you replace the turbo to downpipe gasket.

  • Q: Invidia Catted DP into SPT catback 09 wrx.  David Guajardo3 years ago

I was wondering what else I will need to fit this downpipe with my spt catback exhaust, I understand that a new downpipe is recommended but what about the connection with this downpipe in to my spt exhaust do i need an adapter or something? Thank you!
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  If your SPT exhaust uses a donut gasket like the OEM, you will need a downpipe to OEM style Catback adapter. Grimmspeed makes one and the part number is GRM 077044.

  • Q: Fitment with grimspeed ewg up pipe  jdurrett4 years ago

I'm curious if this will work with the grimspeed ewg uppipe with a tial 44 ewg? I've read in the reviews that it will not, but I've also read else where that it will with some playing around. Can you clarify?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  We have no fitment issues reported with Grimmspeed's 44mm uppipe, the v-band allows the wastegate and dump tube to be rotated in such a way to find a way to achieve a fit.

  • Q: Lower Heat Shield Fitment?  hindude4 years ago

I have a '12 WRX. I already know the factory upper heat shield won't fit with this downpipe unless cut. Will the factory lower heat shield still fit after this downpipe is installed without having to cut it?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  There is a lower heat shield that is attached to the OEM unit and is removed with it. The only heat shield used with an aftermarket downpipe is going to be the upper piece, either modified or an aftermarket unit.
