I already have an ETS extreme catback exhaust, will this downpipe fit directly to my catback or will I need any adapters or specific hardware besides the ones that are included with the product?
  • Q: Parts  Dblockdc246815 months ago

If I got the GS downpipe and installed to my car, would I need to upgrade injectors or anything else,If I also have the cool SF I Taken? I have 2017 STI.
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  With the downpipe, the only thing that you would need to do is flash stage 2 on your AP or get protuned.

would this match up with an Invidia N1 Cat Back Exhaust Titanium Tip/ do I need any sort of adapters? or is there a better system that matches up better?

  • Q: Length of downpipe  BOOSTICKWRX2 years ago

Hey, I have a 2011 sti sedan. I read a review where a user installed this downpipe on their hatch(not sedan) and the only complaint was that it made the exhaust tips sit in around 1 inch further. I really like the way my exhaust looks, so a little worried about that. Will this effect the way my exhaust sits now? Thanks!
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The exhaust tips may have sat in further if that owner went from using an OEM downpipe with an exhaust adapter that utilizes a donut gasket, to just a flat 3" gasket. That would shorten the length of the pipe by around 3/4". In your case it would depend on how your exhaust system is currently ran and whether you're using an adapter or not.

  • Q: Fitment question  Arwolff82 years ago

I ordered the GS downpipe and also have the invidia r400 on backorder. Can I install this downpipe and use the OEM cat-back without the adaptor temporarily while I am waiting for the R400 to arrive?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  You would not be able to use this downpipe with the OEM cat-back without the adapter because this is a 3 inch down pipe while the stock cat-back is only two and a half inches. Without the adapter you would experience exhaust leaks.

  • Q: Just wanting a little clarification  Mike E2 years ago

I apologize if this had already been addressed and I missed it, but I plan to run this with oem catback for the time being, I will run Cobb stage 2 OTS tune correct? (I have intake as well) Thanks
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Because this isn't a Cobb product technically it will not. However, they both hold the same properties and we have never had an issue installing this part and running a Cobb map. You should be fine.

  • Q: Grimmspeed DP catted and Magniflow cbe  Giantsub4 years ago

Hi there I am very interested in your catted dp. Was wondering if this will bolt right up to the Magniflow cat back 3" exhaust for 08 sti hatch? Also can I retro fit stock heat shield to your dp? And lastly with the cat being where it is vs higher up will smog stations quickly fail you regardless that you have a cat on there? Thanks
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This should bolt directly to any catback that is OEM length. You can use a stock heat shield but it does require trimming to clear the larger wastegate flange on the downpipe. Unfortunately we cannot confirm emissions and products like this are meant for offroad use only.

  • Q: JDM STi fitment  Rutt4 years ago

Will this downpipe fit on a 2009 JDM Sti without issues?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This downpipe will bolt up if you have a single scroll turbo, but it may not work with the stock catback exhaust because some JDM catbacks are longer than USDM.

  • Q: What's the difference?  Dialos134 years ago

What's the difference between the Cobb Bellmouth down pipe and thie divorced waste gate on this one? Will one yield more power over the other?
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Divorced wastegates will divide the exhaust flow from the wastegate gasses and allow them to join together further downstream creating less turbulence and better flow.

  • Q: Bung and adaptors   TremendousWRX5 years ago

I just ordered this and the 3-2.5 adaptor from you guys. This plus the included gaskets will be everything I need to fit to stock turbo and mid pipe on a 2013wrx correct? Also I notice the o2 Bung is in a slightly different place. Any fitment issues with that and the stock o2 sensor and wires?
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  You will also need an OEM donut gasket but you should have one on your car already. If it's still in tact you should not need a replacement. The bung is further back than the OEM unit. The OEM o2 sensor wire is clipped in place on the transmission. It's recommended that you un clip the wire so you can get the needed slack to reach the bung. Mike

A:  That should be everything needed for the install. The location of the sensor bung should not cause any fitment issues.

  • Q: 2014 wrx wagon  seffyrawr837635 years ago

I notice the cat is towards the end of the pipe, any significant difference that differs from the cat towards the beginning? (
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  I've heard of people claiming that with the cat further towards the catback section that it will increase the flow but I do not have any statistical information to back that claim. Thank you.
