Bought this to replace the mag-core aluminum drain plug which stripped (threads) during install - torque wrench went out at same time, but was staying close to torque spec hand tightening. This plug, made of SS, should not suffer the same fate. The magnet is at least twice as strong as on the old plug which is good for holding metal grit, but messy upon removal as it'll hold fast to the pan next to the hole until it can be peeled away (so be ready!). Fit and quality are fine, and value-wise, . . well, . . How many Magnetic Core Stainless Steel Drain Plugs are out there on the market?
