Features & Product Details

RallySport Direct proudly carries a great selection of high-performance braking solutions brought to you by DBA.

The DBA 4000 Series Drilled / Slotted Rotors are an excellent choice for those of you who want a high-performance brake rotor that can surpass the performance and braking capacity of your OEM rotors. These rotors have been designed using the latest in braking technology, and feature a drilled and slotted design that will increase the stopping performance of your vehicle for street and high-performance driving conditions.

DETAILS:

  • Front location
  • T3 Slot 48 precision CNC machined slots
  • These are tri-symmetrical curve slots that will dampen the vibration which makes for a quieter, more responsive and smoother brake pedal feel
  • Also designed with the Kangaroo Paw 144 diamond teardrop pillar ventilation system
  • Increases the surface area resulting in greater heat dissipation
  • Minimizes brake fade and increases braking performance
  • Constructed using XG150 High Carbon Alloyed Iron
  • Allows for a greater thermal capacity which allows the rotor to handle constant extremes of heat over extended periods of time
  • Minimizes the risk of warping or cracking
  • Designed with Thermographic Temperature Monitoring which are heat paint markings that will change color at a specific temperature threshold which gives the driver an idea of peak braking temperatures
  • The Thermographic Temperature Monitoring will allow the end-user to choose what brake pad to use
  • Designed with paint protection on non-friction areas which will help reduce corrosion, and it stops any unsightly rust formation

I just installed these on my 06 STi, so far i havent had a problem. They are really well made and the brake pedal feels good. I still havent tested them on the track though. Overall, im happy with the performance and how they look. I would definately buy again.

Replaced stock oem rotors with these DBA 4000 series. Just did the swap 3 days ago. So far very good. Paired with Cosworth Streetmaster Brake Pads and no noise, or weird sounds. Seems to stop same if not slightly better. No issues at all so far. I will try to get on and update as time goes by but for starters very happy with product and would recommend to anyone looking for good street semi race setup.

    Color 5 years ago

After receiving both front and rear set I realized they are different colors. Front seems more of a mustard seed yellow and rears are gold. Heat seems to dissipate faster, great stoping power. If you don't want different colors you may want to have them repainted with a high temp paint!!!!

An easy upgrade  6 years ago

With my factory calipers (brembo) the braking feels somewhat better with the DBA rotors. The only issue with changing out the factory rotors is with the brembo calipers. You will mostly need to install helicoil on the damage done in removing the caliper bolts. This is for any brake job on the STI. Overall I love the aggressive look the rotors give the car and the brake system works fine.

    QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

    • Q: Question   Niehaus2005sti6 years ago

Would these be good for a daily driver thanks
      • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Drilled/Slotted are generally best for the track since they can go through pads a bit quicker, and they can also expand and contract in certain weather conditions. My recommendation for Daily driving would be a t-slotted rotor.

    • Q: Confusion  Alan_fdez157 years ago

What is the difference between these and the t slotted rotors? I'm planning to get hawk hps pads and stop tech brake lines which one should i buy? These or the t slotted
      • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  These rotors would be a little bit better for track use however, with the drilled holes, they are a little bit weaker once the elements come into play. I would recommend the t slotted for any daily driving car.

    • Q: 2008 WRX With STI Brembos  synME596308 years ago

I have a non-STI WRX with STI calipers on it. I have to replace some DBA-5000 rotors, one of which has been ground down on the inside. The wheel hubs are stock WRX, so the bolt pattern is the 100mm, not the 114mm. From the images, these look dual-drilled for 100 and 114. Is this correct?
    • Q: replacement  Ruger8 years ago

I have Stoptech BBK's in the front and rear. My question is could I use this rotor as a replacement for my current rotors or do I have to go with replacement Stoptech rotors?
      • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Stoptech ST-40 rotors are the only rotors recommended for the ST-40 kit. We do not have a confirmation that these rotors would fit.
