Definitely improved turn in. 1 year ago
JF
My factory control arms and ball joints we're shot (popping noise when starting and stopping) so I upgraded to these. Superpro was very helpful with any questions I had. I installed these with a Bilstein/King Spring standard height setup. Everything went smooth. The turn in feels like it has improved over stock. They aren't cheap, but I could see this being a good improvement for someone who autocrosses their vehicle, or just needs new control arms as I did and wants an upgrade.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

  • Q: 2014 WRX fitment?  EC_62610 months ago

I've read that you may need to remove the studs and swap to different bolts for the rear position bushing for the 2011-2014 WRX, can you confirm this?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  That is correct, on WRX models the OE studs must be removed and replaced with the bolts included in the kit. This is detailed in our instructions for WRX models that ship with the kits.

  • Q: Weight compared to stock STI and WRX  AndyEnge1 year ago

What do these weigh in at, and how does that compare to the stock arms for the STI and the wrx steel ones?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The complete arm assemblies (with bushings and ball joint boss installed) are 7.2lbs. each. That should be nearly identical to the 2011-2014 STI OEM arm. To offer a quick summary: The biggest benefits of the ALOY0015K kit go to 11-14 WRX owners who get the alloy arm over their OE steel arm, upgraded bushings in the forward position and the DuroBall kit at the rear, as well as the additional positive caster. 08-10 STI owners replace their existing alloy arms with the 11-14 STI updated style and larger diameter rear bushing assembly with the greatest upgrades being the additional caster and upgrade to the DuroBall bushing at the rear of the arm. 11-14 STI owners can purchase only the bushing upgrades included in this complete kit, and for those that can press the old bushings out and the new assemblies in place that is the best value. If you do not have a press, or are simply not comfortable with that portion of the install the complete ALOY0015K kit offers a quick bolt-on upgrade and the ability to keep your original arms as spares, or sell them second hand to recoup some of the cost.

  • Q: Self leveling hid  rotaxmax31 year ago

Have these got the tab for the self leveling headlights?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The control arms feature all of the mounting points of the OEM control arm design. That said, from memory the GR series cars with automatic leveling have a sensor mounted on the driver's side rear lower control arm, not the front. If we can provide more detailed photos or info you're welcome to e-mail directly at [email protected]

  • Q: Preparing for install.  JF1 year ago

The control arms come with a small tube of what I imagine is grease. What needs to be greased before install? What is the tube for?
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  These arms come assembled and the rear DuroBall bushing assembly is pre-greased. The included grease is to be used on the mounting bolts where they pass through the bushings lubricating the interface between the center tubes of the bushings and the mounting bolts.

  • Q: Warranty and comparison to stock  F60Crowley2 years ago

Hi I'm wondering if the lifetime warranty extends to the bushings as well as the arms themselves? Even if not these seem very impressive. Obviously these make more sense on a stiffened suspension, but would these provide better turn in and stability on an otherwise stock car?
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  All of our bushings and polyurethane components have a lifetime warranty to the original purchaser. Our Roll Control range (sway bars, control arms, complete suspension arms) offers a 3 year warranty with no mileage restriction to the original purchaser. We have the above guidelines to our warranty policy but there is always some flexibility to those rules. If you're going to invest your hard-earned money in our parts we'll make every effort to stand behind them. You can run these arms on an overhauled suspension with complimentary upgrades or on any otherwise stock vehicle. Additionally the bushings from these arms are available as standalone upgrades that can be fitted to your OEM STI arms. The addition precision, feedback and alignment benefits apply no matter where you are in your suspension upgrade path.
