My '13 STI is stock. It's obvious that a tune is recommended but is it absolutely necessary? Like will the ECU make a fuss and not run smoothly because it notices something foreign?
A: The intake is claimed to be safe without a tune from K&N, but the 2008+ vehicles are very particular and we strongly recommend a tune to avoid issues.
