Great look and noise

Awesome sound and lets you hear the stock Blow off valve as well. Install took about 10 minutes, haven't noticed a huge difference power wise without a tune but have noticed better throttle response. I would recommend getting a hydro shield from injen as well.
Love the look.

Great COI, love the look and sound. Not into colors so the chrome looks great. The install couldn't be any easier

I had installed the Injen tuned CAI on my 2008 WRX about a month ago. I've never used an Injen CAI but at this moment in time, I wont use anything but Injen. It's an incredible product. An easy install even for the novice. Actually factory airbox was harder to get out then installing the CAI. And the beautifully polished finish gives a brilliant shine under the hood. A side note, the MAF sensor mount on the piping was a perfect fit. Everything made a great seal, no leaks from what i can tell. And for those who like noise. It sounds phenomenal!!! Since this mounts outside the frame rail, a good idea if purchasing this product is to get a hydroguard pre filter. the area the filter sits will collect water. And none of us want to deal with a chance of sucking water into our intakes... Overall, I have no regrets Thanks Injen and Rally Sport Direct...

I've had this for over year and a half, and am very safisfied. My main attraction to this product is the fact that it uses an AMSOIL high-efficiency, cleanable dry air filter. As "Anonymous" said, it makes a great difference in noise - it's never very loud but lets in some more engine sound and much more turbo noises, from sucking on spool to hissing spooled, to the stock BOV being very noticeable. The box said it makes 20 HP or something, I assume that's stock vs. tuned + intake - I didn't expect any power from this and didn't feel anything extraordinary. Throttle response / spool does seem to be somewhat quicker. I'm not tuned and have no other engine mods; intakes are generally regarded as a poor first power mod because of tuning woes they can cause; I have not run a wideband with this but can say that no CELs have been thrown and the exhaust tip showed it is running similarly rich as stock was. Installation is easy, all hardware was included and worked without too much effort; the MAF fits perfectly, and is sealed on the tube and sitting in the center. The intake really opens up the engine bay which is nice. Heat shield works well, the filter area is never hot. My one complaint is that you have to fiddle with it quite a bit to take the filter off if you want to clean it, with the easiest way probably being to take the whole tube out.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Q: Splash Guard Needed? DTR-92 11 months agoAnswer
Does this need/would you recommend having a splash guard with this?
A: This intake does not need a splash guard. However we recommend taking the necessary precautions for the driving situations. If you drive where there is a lot of water we recommend using a splash guard.

Q: Engine Life DavidB007 4 years agoAnswer
Will this overall effect the engine life on my car? I heard things about if you run into huge water puddles that can cause an issue but if your careful, will this cause any harm or stress on the engine?
A: Injen states that tuning is not required, however you want to verify everything is running proper. We suggest to get tunes with any intake.
