got the coilovers, one spring had mark so i contacted rallysport who told me to contact bc racing and they applogized for the mark and over nighted me a new spring so they all were spotless, i am like things perfect. they are great, have had no problems with them what so ever. ride good and drive good. i do reccomend getting or making a strut mount cover for the rear as mine had a hole the size of a quarter in the rear mounts and i had to make something for it as i want my interior to be sealed. easy to install and ride is good. ***note to everyone, the rears are adjusted to half lowered while the front is at almost top ride height. its so they are even height as the rear coilovers are longer then the back. I didnt notice till after i installed them and had it on the ground**
here is a detailed review about how my car feels, just to give you an idea of what too expect. i have listed what my car has just to give you a general baseline. installed on 05 STI - Lowered car approx. 1.5 Inches from stock ride height with stock wheels. mods: whiteline rear lateral link kit, whiteline front roll center adjustment kit, poly rack bushing, poly engine mounts + trans mounts, beatrush rear differential brace, shifter bushings all around. stock front + rear sway bar set up. No engine mods done besides Grim Speed Air Oil Separator. alignment settings: f camber @ -1.20, f toe -0.06, rear camber @ -1.10, rear toe @ -0.06 tire pressures: 34 psi hot all around, on Falken Azenis RT615K - 225/45/r17 -- for me, anything past 36+ psi hot, car is squirelly and hard to drive fast around turns so if you daily drive and you need something pretty good, this would definitely be a good buy. with the shock dampeners turned all the way down at 1 click, it drives dam near like stock suspension springs, Does NOT turn good due to excessive body roll - creates SEVERE UNDER STEER if you try to pull G's like that - please dont try, ask me how I know. I would start shock tuning after you figure out your tire pressures. good starting point would be 15 clicks in. I personally use 16/17 clicks front, 13/14 clicks rear - seems to hook the best for me for mountain togues with fairly smooth road conditions. extremely good road feed back, definitely pull ALOT MORE lateral G's mid turn and braking. ive found trail braking turns seems to "feel" the fastest based on Butt Dyno feeling. triple digit max speed freeway runs with 16 clicks front and 13 clicks rear - NOT so friendly if you smack a pretty hard bump, i dont have a fancy bucket seat or harness set up. like the car will stay hooked too the ground, but you definitely will fly up and out the seat and get "minor" air time, haha, best way to explain this - obviously you shouldnt be doing such things anyways. i personally drive it every day at 16 clicks front and 13 clicks rear and this thing is the baddest car ever, dont care if i lose drag race to V8's, we take the race to the mountains and I guarantee you they will just see tail lights well thats my detailed review, wont know whether or not you like it until you install it and try it out.
Have these for almost a year and they have preformed very well. They replaced my oem struts and it’s night and day difference. Glad to have them on the car. They install very easy and had zero issues with fitment. Great price for a set of coilovers!
At 250 a corner you cant beat this (assuming the top hats cost the rest). The set i received was assembled but the preload on the rear coilovers had not been set so don't just go throwing them in without at least a look over. Installation was smooth as in everything fit like a glove into the car. I love how you can adjust the ride height without compromising strut travel!!! I have had them in for about 2000 miles and they feel good. responsive and will hold in a corner. Not a ride on rails feeling but i haven't set the dampners to the stiffest setting yet. Also the swap out program for blown struts is amazing, i think they said 90 per corner and they just send you a new one in the mail you send the old one back. Have only done some serious highway driving in the mountains, i will re post after taking her out to the track.

Q: Fitment Question bugeye1 year agoI am going to swap the front and rear subframes and suspension of my 03wrx to a 05 jdm sti setup. Could I run these coilovers with the 03 wrx? I'm not asking about whether you can guarantee the fitment to the jdm parts, they should match, I'm just wondering if these can fit an 03 while it's in the air.

A: The F-03-BR kit is for the 05-07 STI but they do share many of the same specs as the F-02-BR 02-07 WRX kit. The F-03-BR kit could be "test fitted" to your car while it's in the air, but you won't be able to drive on them till you do the full 05 STI drivetrain swap. The rear coilover mounting points are exactly the same so the F-03 kit will bolt up completely to your 03 WRX. In the front, everything is the same between the two kits except for the front lower mounts. The F-03-BR kit uses 4mm wider front lower mounts than the F-02-BR kit. So you will be able to mount them up top, but you won't technically be able to drive on them till the front 05 STI hubs are installed. A: BC coilovers do not use a thrust bearing/washer. Instead they use an upper spring seat with a sealed Koyo bearing to allow the upper spring seat to turn with coilover on a McPherson type front suspension.Josh P. @ RallySport Direct 3 years ago
