  • Q: spring bind  john.frost85923068 years ago

I have had these coilovers for about a year now. they have been binding and pinging when I turn. Seems I will need some thrust washer beartings, I've been told. Found some for another pair of coilovers. the ISC coilovers, but I need the measurements of the ISC and the Apexi to see if they will work. any help on the measurements? Thanks.
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  We recommend inspecting and cleaning the pillowball mount bearing before replacing anything and the easiest way is done with some water and compressed air. The EXV spring is a 62mm ID spring, so a thrust washer bearing with a similar ID measurement should work just fine.

  • Q: Tein vs Apexi  BooSTin9 years ago

These or tein street basis which would be better for a DD
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  They are both excellent products! It depends on what you would like to get out of the car. The Apexi come with top hats and camber adjustments where the Tein Street Basis do not.

I was looking into buying these coilovers but i was wonder what kind of drop it has all the other coilovers say how many inches they lower it but these don't so do you know how much it lowers the car?

A:  Apexi does not list the max drop, however having seen these installed they will go over 2in lower then stock.

can this coilovers be adjusted to make my car a bit higher than stock?
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  No unfortunately these will not allow you to raise the car over the stock height. These will only allow you to go lower than stock. Thanks.

  • Q: Apexi N1 coilovers   guest55c88634caae52f4609f392b12 years ago

how do these ride compared to the BC basic coilovers? i am looking for a daily driver feel.
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The Apexi N1 EXV system is a track/street suspension system. It uses higher spring rates then most street oriented coilovers to offer great handling when being used at the track. However dont be discouraged as this coilover will work great on the street, just keep the dampening turned down.
