Description

The Plasma Direct Ignition Coils produce 4 times more spark energy than stock coils and also generate an ultra fast multi spark discharge of 10 sparks up to highest RPM. The spark amperage is increased 100%, allowing the spark to reach many more molecules and therefore accelerate the ignition and combustion process. This is extremely important in forced induction applications but also improves the performance of naturally aspirated engines.

The Plasma Direct Coil Pack will increase horsepower and torque throughout the entire rpm range. This upgrade will also reduce fuel consumption. Even the engines with a legendary smoothness will be further refined with the Plasma Direct upgrade. The Plasma Direct Coil Packs are OBD II compliant and C.A.R.B. approved.

Installation is easy. Direct bolt-in to the engine, no splicing or cutting into stock wiring, simply replace the stock coils with the Plasma Direct Coils and you’re ready to go.

This kit includes 4 coils

I got these for my 2011 STi, my cyl #3 coil went bad and the OEM takes too long for the dealer to get so I jump on here paid for next day air, and so glad I did, was able to use my car much sooner then waiting for the OEM ones. They work great and no more misfire.

Q: did you get your car tuned afterwards? Or still running stock map? Thanks

  • Q: gains  redlozis18553 3 years ago

    Answer

What kind of gains are we will i see after equipping these coils. i have a 2013 wrx hatch with cat back and intake and an access port.

    • A: Gains will depend on modifications, and these coils are more beneficial for high power applications. Power gains will be minimal on a lightly modified car.

  • Q: Supporting mods   Fleming_35479680 4 years ago

    Answer

Hey right now I'm running a stage 3 11' wrx hatch running Perrin tmic, ebcs, Cobb intake, dw65 pump, 850 cc injectors, ngk colder plugs, my question is I've now had it happen twice where I started up and started moving once cold and once hot and had a engine light pop on so checked it out and it's saying mis fire cylinder 3 and the other time was 4 now I'm thinking I gotta bump up the coils or check the tune again and get another revision but this sounded more like a lack of power going to firing the cylinders, should I just invest in new coils? Or trial and error with the tune?

    • A: Your stock coils are more than sufficient for normal driving and these coils will help when the engine is under heavy load and boost. The issue may be that you are running colder plugs and they tend to foul out sooner because they do not get as hot as stock heat range. Cold plugs cannot burn off carbon and contaminants as well as stock heat range because they remove more heat from the cylinder.

  • Q: Electrical Requirements  grobelny.ece50834 5 years ago

    Answer

Any electrical upgrades while running these or is it safe to just directly replace them with oem?

    • A: No other upgraded are needed on physical parts, but a re-tune is required after install due to how much better the spark is compared to OEM.

  • Q: tuning and life span  dindin 5 years ago

    Answer

my car is currently in stock condition, is there tuning required after installation of these coils? and what is the average life span of these coils?

    • A: Tuning is strongly recommended after installation of these coils but not necessarily required. Unfortunately we do not have a life span on these as heavy performance use may vary greatly from vehicle to vehicle.
