COBB Tuning Short Ram SF Intake System
Mitsubishi Evo X 2008-2015
Features & Product Details
RallySport Direct is your number one source for quality upgrades and enhancements brought to you by COBB TUNING.
This is the COBB Tuning Short Ram SF Intake System and it is a direct replacement for your factory restrictive airbox. This intake system allows the turbocharger to inhale clean air more effectively that results in more horsepower, more torque, and you will have improved throttle response and reduced turbo lag.
The intake uses a CFD-designed velocity stack leading to a unique air flow straightener grid. This grid is specifically designed to smooth out the incoming air charge before it passes through the mass air flow sensor for precise readings which eliminates inherent dead spots that are common in other aftermarket intake systems created by turbulence.

Easy to install, great buy. FYI, must use some parts off factory air box.
After installing this, I was blown away by it. I can actually hear my blow-off valve now. The sound of the turbo spooling is quite nice too. I did notice my car sputters when idling if the AC is on, but it doesn't die. I'm getting a pro tune in a few days, so maybe it will go away. I'm currently running a stage 3 OTS map on the accessport.
Great product, super easy to instal and sounds INCREDIBLE!
I love this intake. Easy to install. I even used part of my Stock intake air box as a heat shield. Took a couple of bends but got it done. Love this Cobb SF intake
Great product for the price. Sounds great when getting on it and you can really hear the BPV when shifting. Only complaint is the lack of a heat shield from anyone to use with this intake. The car will stumble at idle a bit when the ac is on...

A: Tuning is not required with this intake, but I recommend it in order to get the full power potential. You should have no problems installing this intake without a tune.
