This was one of the first things I purchased, and I love it. This is one of the things I recommend to friends when looking for upgrades. The only complain i have is that i wish that they had air filter in red.
No complaints on the product, service, or shipping. Love the package deal but what the kit really needs is pre-cut weather stripping. I know there’s instructions online from 100 people but at least if you’re not going to include a hard copy of the instructions, just include the link to the install video on a nice card.
Bought this a few weeks ago for my 08 wrx and it was for sure worth the money! Haven't dyno'd it but it definitely feels much faster and more responsive. I was able to install the intake and airbox in a parking lot in around 20 minutes by myself. Just the sound of the air rushing into my turbo made the cost worth it to me. After that, the Accessport took no longer than 5 minutes to re-flash the ecu. If you're on the fence about this one, just do yourself a favor and buy it!
Easy install, great performance, awesome sound.
Maybe I'm getting old, but this intake is incredibly loud. Full throttle pulls have a satisfying scream to them, but it's actually louder -and annoying- at low rpm part-throttle. The AccessPort is good. Quick and easy install and a definite power gain from it alone. I'm not sure why COBB stages their kits with intake before downpipe, except maybe to sell more intakes, but adding the intake after the stock Stage 1 map didn't seem to add much, other than noise. Unfortunately, the louder a car, the slower it feels, to me. All-in-all I'm happy with it, but I feel like I would have preferred an intake with a longer pipe that moves the filter into the fenderwell for less noise.

A: Cobb does not currently manufacture an Accessport for the 2.5i, they were discontinued around 2010. Unfortunately, this would not work for your vehicle.

does the v3 AP have to be hooked up all the time ? I have mainly had SCT programmers on my ford products and once you loaded the tune you removed the programmer from the car.

A: You can plug and unplug the AccessPort whenever you would like and the tune will stay saved to the ECU.

Q: question mattie8 years ago
If i also add an uppipe with this stage 1 kit will the AP be able to sufficiently tune the engine? should I worry about installing the downpipe before the uppipe?

A: COBB does not have a map for an uppipe, but typically an uppipe will not alter the vehicle in a way requiring one.
