so today i installed the cobb exaust. was a straight forward process. took me about 2 hours since i was doing it alone. better if you have some help. i had to cut half of the stock exhaust so i can take it off but other then that everything fit perfect. i took it for a spin and boy was i not disappointed better response and just sounds amazing not too loud or too quiet just right. i recommend buying the cobb hangers for no rattle. highly recommend.

My mazdaspeed 3 in an 08 and IMO this is the best sounding exhaust, not to loud so when I add the Cobb down pipe I'll be good. Installed Cobb exhaust hangers at the same time to ensure very little movment when I get on the gas. Fitment was perfect, the tip sits centered in the bumper cut out. I could not be happier with the sound and quality of this exhaust, thanks Cobb and Rally Sport

I bought this exhaust for two reasons; the first being I wanted something louder than stock but not too loud (see HKS exhaust). The second reason was because of the name. I had always heard good things about Cobb from my Subie friends. The install was simple as was expected, however the exhaust rattled right off in two places. After taking down the exhaust and clearancing the hanger near the rear sub frame the rattle at start up went away. The rattle returned after about 5 mins of driving. So I had to purchase aftermarket hangers that and clearancing the exhaust a little more no more rattle. For the cost of this exhaust, I should never have to modify anything. I would expect this from a cheaper system but not a $700+ CBE. Finally the sound is good but not loud enough. Its slightly and I mean slightly louder but it wasn't worth all the time and money thats for sure.

Bought this along with the Cobb Downpipe and together they sound great! on idle its not annoyingly loud but at full throttle the beast is unleashed. Power is felt throughtout the rev range from 2500 to 6000rpm unlike before with the stock exhaust which felt exhausted at 4500rpm.
