Bought and installed on my car in hopes to get rid of the fuel stumble, chased down multiple what we thought were issues and the stumble wouldn’t go away, finally decided To put in an Aeromotive fpr and boom problem solved

Slightly overpriced - imo. However, it DOES get rid of the nasty acceleration hesitation (aka GR stumble). This is a MUST have for those cars modified stage 2 and above. It's relatively easy to install.

Performs as expected from a company like Cobb. Did require a tune after.

Works great and stumble is gone 6 years ago

The latest version from Cobb uses an upgraded fuel line connector so you future removals are easier. Initial install still requires special tool and the one sold here at Rallysport works just fine. Before upgrade, Stage 1 left 'I' mode so limp it was almost useless and 'S' had flat spots all over between 2k and 3.5k. Directions from Cobb lacked some details but having the on-line directions right near you helped get thru the fuzzy portions.

Don't try to install this without the Subaru specific oil/fuel line disconnect tool. I tried to first install this with a crap $5 tool from autozone and had no luck (I also heard some yahoos on the internet that got the lines off with zip ties.. Yeah.. No). I bought the Company23 tool from RSD and the lines popped off without a hitch. Also.. One last thing that slowed me down; I have the Cobb flex fuel kit on my 13 STi so I didn't use the normal lines that came in the kit, I had to reuse one line from the flex fuel kit. In the FPR kit, the line running from the damper to the motor (the fuel line that's mated to the damper when you receive the kit from Cobb) was actually removed and you news to utilize the flex fuel kit fuel line that runs to your stock FPR damper (This fuel line on one end has a 90° elbow and uses a blue retaining clip(that mates with your flex fuel sensor body), not clear/opaque color like in the FPR kit. The other end of the fuel line is just a regular cut tube end with a clamp). Don't be cheap, buy the right damn tool and save yourself many hours of frustration.

    QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

    • Q: Question   Mike2 years ago

So are 2007 sti sedan not afected by fuel stumble ? Because ive asked some ppl they say it does so idk if they are correct with that
      • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Correct, the new style regulator and lines used in the 08+ models are prone to the stumble issue, and this will use the old style regulator. Now that does not mean your car is immune to it, and if your tuner notices something odd on the dyno, and mentions it being an issue with resonance in the fuel system, I would believe them. Thanks.

    • Q: Tune?  Island Roots2 years ago

Does the access port stage 3 map cover this FPR or do I need professional tune? I plan on purchasing the flex fuel kit in the future but will this connect if I opt out the on the one included in the kit?

    • Q: 2017 Sti  Eulises4 years ago

Would this work well if I were to purchase Cobb's FPR manifold relocation kit at the same time?
    • Q: Difference Between Kits  chris.ollenburg493514 years ago

I'm considering purchasing the fuel upgrade package to fix the 2800 rpm stumble on my 2008 STi. However, I'd like to make sure I can upgrade to flex fuel in the future without having to repurchase any fuel lines or duplicate kits with minimal differences. What is difference in this kit versus which is included in the cobb fuel upgrade package versus the one provided by the cobb flex fuel package (https://www.rallysportdirect.com/fits/2009-subaru-impreza-wrx-sti-hatchback-2-5/fuel-pressure-regulators/315250-cobb-tuning-fuel-pressure-regulator-to-fuel-rail-kit). Also, why is this kit $25 more expensive? Flex Fuel Package I'm considering: https://www.rallysportdirect.com/part/flex-fuel/sub000fsff-cobb-tuning-fuel-system-flex-fuel-package Fuel System Package I'm considering: https://www.rallysportdirect.com/part/fuel-rails/sub000fsys-cobb-tuning-fuel-system-package Thanks!

A:  This kit is meant to work with the OEM lines, the other kit you linked is for Cobb's rail/line kit.
