This package combines the COBB Tuning Double Adjustable Short Throw Shifter along with COBB Tuning's Front and Rear Shifter Bushings to not only eliminate the excessive play in your shifter but to shorten the shift for faster and more accurate shifts. This is a fantastic product. Everything was high quality. The dual adjustability (for both throw and shifter height) is an added bonus over similar products. The only downside or issue I have with this kit is that, depending on where you set the height of the shifter, the reverse lockout cable can interfere with the driveshaft. The 'fix' is using zip ties to secure it out of the way. I wish there was a better solution, but that's more of a comment on the design of the linkage and not this shifter. Took about two hours, but you'll want an extra set of hands for that rear bushing. It's not fun. Also, I'd recommend getting the rear bushing onto the rear of the shifter while the front is still loose, as it gives you a little more wiggle room. I would 100% recommend this product to anyone who is looking to upgrade the stock shifter.

Very much would recommend! This makes world of difference compared to the stock unit. Cobb always make high quality stuff, and this is no different. The shifts are now crisp, short, precise and no more wobble back and forth. The install is the only thing that might hold some people back. It is not the easiest thing to do, especially by yourself (definitely get a friend to help). The shifter itself isn't too hard to put in, and neither are the bushings once you have everything out of the way and pulled down. The hardest part for me was getting the shifter adjusted for the reverse lockout to work properly. Be patient! It will just take some time and fiddling with to get it to work. Had to have both adjustments almost at their longest extentions for it to work. There just wasn't much guidance as to which way to adjust it is all. Took about 4 hrs to install with the help of a friend. Also, would recommend getting a new roll pin from Subaru. Believe they are about 60 cents from a dealership.

STI worthy!
If you want a really short and notchy shifter, then this is for you. I was apprehensive when I got the Cobb because I had always used Kartboy in the past. I love the serious amount of adjustability. The only pain is the installation of this shifter. But once it’s installed, you’ll know you receive an amazing product from Cobb.

I decided to install this on my 2015 STi after talking with a few of the RSD Team Members. I wasn't completely excited about how the STi trans felt in the STi coming from a 2006 WRX. I missed the feeling of the gears clicking into place. Well this solved that and brought so much more. Install: There are good instructions and videos online for this product which were easy to follow. The shifter install was cake and went really smooth. Once you get into the bushings it does take some finagling to get them into place. Those guys in the videos make it look so easy! I would say this is well within reach of anyone who knows their way around a toolbox and can follow along with a video. Quality: AS you'll read on all my reviews of Cobb products this product also meets what I expect from them. The shifter looks so good I was trying to figure out a way to have it visible after install. You could hang it from the mirror of your car it looks so good :) Overall: As the title reads why didn't I do this sooner. I am so happy with the outcome of this install. I have it as short as you can get it in both height and throw which makes the car feel that much more racey and fun. The new bushings make the car feel like it almost clicks into each gear which is exactly what I wanted. I know when she is in and I can cut the clutch loose for the pull. Everyone who has driven my car all like it as well which has lead to all of them wanting this too. Install is pretty straight forward and the end reward is really great. If you want a more racey feel with the confidence of high quality products this is for you. 5 stars all around this has been my absolute favorite non power install!

Wife got me this for Christmas, and I finally had time to install it. The install was easy. I used the written instructions along with the You Tube videos. It has a nice feel to it. The whine that you hear is negligible; in fact I barely notice it after 2K RPM. Great product, I'll be buying more Cobb Tuning products in the future.

A: You will be able to adjust throw from 10% Longer to 25% Shorter.
