When I got this shift knob the first thing I noticed was the massive weight difference compared to the my stock shift knob. This thing looks super clean and feels smooth in the hands. Paired with a kartboy short shift kit and I'm all smiles.

I've has this shift knob for over 3 years and the finish has held up great. There is no fading on the anodized aluminum or delrin. The knob does not get too hot to touch in the summer. Over time, it has not over rotated and made the logo out of line which is nice. It is a VERY light knob, so just know that it is lighter than the factory knob.

A: There is indeed a difference. The 6MT was designed for use with the reverse lockout on the STi's. The 5MT knob has an additional collar on the bottom of the knob to help support the shift boot up.
