Carbing Subframe 11 months ago

(2002 WRX) Way better than the OEM U-Frame. Only issue I had come across was that for some reason my Aftermarket Downpipe DID NOT clear this frame and I was in a time crunch to get this car tuned to be my daily. I ended up chopping off the end of my Downpipe and pluging my O2 sensor into the AFR bung I had welded in previously. Aside from my ears bleeding now after long drive with an open downpipe my car is stiff and rigid and turns-in nicely. (NOTE) Will NOT fit if you are using Tomei UnEqual Length Header, luckily I was switching to EL anyways so I didnt care.

Ooh baby, so tight 2 years ago
phed
It is aluminum, and very well made. Made my front end so tight, that I lost those annoying squeaks I couldn't track down and I'm considering a bigger rear bar.

  • Q: Torque specs  nt_kost6 months ago

Hi, would it be possible to get the torque sheet for this subframe? I like having everything torqued to spec :) cheers!
  • Q: Bolts  GS12 months ago

By looking at the photos, this seem to fix to the car with 8 bolts, instead of the OEM part that uses 12 bolts. Can you confirm, please?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This is going to contain only the 8 bolt holes. Regardless the lower arm bar would install in the factory arms place.

A:  This is a replacement and you will need to remove the old rusty subframe.

A:  Actually it wont bolt on to your existing sub frame. You have to remove your old sub frame and this part replaces it.
