Features & Product Details

RallySport Direct carries a large catalog of quality aerodynamic upgrades brought to you by APR.

Here, you are looking at the APR Carbon Fiber Brake Ducts. These have been aerodynamically-optimized to funnel in massive amounts of air that creates a venturi effect to bring in more cooling efficiency to your front brakes. When matched with appropriate high-temperature air duct hoses (not included in some applications) the ARP Brake Cooling Ducts will help to channel in large volumes of fresh air to help cool down red-hot brake rotors lap after lap on the track.

DETAILS:

  • Carbon fiber construction
  • Formed in the autoclave at high-temperatures using pre-pregnated carbon fiber manufacturing processes for high strength and low weight
  • UV-resistant coating
  • Each air duct is finished with UV-resistant clear-coat paint for resistance against various environmental conditions
  • Can also be used to bring additional cooling to other areas other than the brakes
  • Sold as a pair

    Doesn't fit 2018 WRX 3 years ago

The APR frame doesn't line up with the 2018 bumper fog light bezel, its not an issue of cutting for fitment, the outline of the APR just doesn't match up. That being said, the product itself looks phenomenal, its incredibly light weight and came with everything needed. super bummed after cutting apart my bumper to find out it doesn't line up.

These weigh almost nothing, are finished in beautiful gloss bare (unpainted) carbon, and use seams that are just pure art. But as others have pointed out, this is a mod that requires some guts as trimming crash structure and bumper cover are on the to-do list. These are some of the nicest carbon performance parts I have ever seen. Functional and beautiful.

Very nice, but beware of trimming bumper and crash beam 5 years ago

Didn't know this from the start. You WILL need to cut small parts off you factory crash beam unless you have an aftermarket one. You will also have to trim behind the fog light housing to make room for the huge hole in these. I wasn't prepared for any of this, but still a very nice product.

    QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

    • Q: Trimming   q8yphotographer3 years ago

trimming the bumper beam is due to the ait opening being too long inwards or for the tubing to fit? I just want to route air to an oil cooler which is behind the passenger side fender and was wondering if I can keep everything from being trimmed..
      • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  According to APR, there have been customers who have trimmed these down in the past to avoid beam cutting, but it is up to the customer's discretion.

    • Q: AEM intake  Canaan Morehu5 years ago

i plan on getting a AEM intake for 2016 STI. would the intake get in the way of the air duct and if so could i use them to get cold air to the intake?
      • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  It is possible to have these set up as an intake duct but they are not designed to function that way.
