Features & Product Details

The Mishimoto WRX oil catch can system is designed and engineered to work on your WRX to eliminate harmful blow by vapors from re-entering your engine. The EJ25 in the WRX is known for producing blow-by gases during normal to severe driving, especially when more boost and horsepower is added to the engine. This oil blow-by can work its way into your intake system, reducing the octane rating of your fuel and potentially causing detonation.

The WRX oil catch can system uses their two-port compact baffled catch can and three-port compact baffled catch can with bronze filters and internal baffles to better separate the oil from the crankcase vapors. The turbo inlet side of the kit utilizes their three-port baffled catch can to catch as much oil vapors as possible. The system also includes two direct-fit mounting brackets that are extremely easy to install and also fit right hand drive vehicles! The WRX catch can system comes with six direct fit black hoses that fit as if they were stock. The hoses are designed to fit right onto the PCV valve ports and into the turbo inlet ports. Plastic, barbed fittings connect the hoses to the can.

Fits with Mishimoto FMIC  8 months ago

First of all these things are bad ass and to answer my question below it does work. Great as a matter of fact. Yes the institutions suck online, and so does the install video. Suggest having a turbo inlet. Alot cleaner and take you time routing the lines.

Mishimoto catch cans 2 years ago

Ok to start off, you must know your way around your car and where the vacuum lines are. Next the instructions are all on line and there are very bland to say the least. I had to watch the video around 15 times to see where everything goes. The planogram of the lines are your friend but mostly the video is what helps alot more. You literally have to pay very very close attention to it as well. Next thing make sure you have an extra foot of line bc for the y fitting its not enough for the driver side crank case vent hose. Next thing is this kit is suppossed to provide you a ruber cap for the very last turbo inlet vent but it doesnt so you will need to go buy an assortment pack at your local parts store. 85 percent of this kit is direct fit there is some stuff you have to customize but not by much. Estimated time for me was around 5 hours but i took breaks and triple checked everything. This kit is the only catch can set up that is direct for this model but i can tell you its not the easiest by any means but its possible and totally worth it. There could be some improvements to this kit but it probably wont cchange. Its my opinion this is a very good kit and id make sure you got a buddy go help with the job and one last thing make sure to pick up some more hose clamps bc your going to need them to make sure the hoses stay. Overall this kit is not bad very reliable but mishimoto throw some stickers in your product packages every once in a while. Promote your products.

  • Q: Mounting location  Brayden.Clark1 year ago

In the video mishimoto provides for installation, I seen the mounting points for the catch cans. Would it interfere with intercooler piping for a front mount?

A:  This is meant to be used with a TMIC. If you are running a FMIC you might need to relocate it or use an oil catch can that is meant to work with a FMIC.
