Will this fit a stock down pipe?

A:  Yes, this Tomei Expreme Ti Titanium Catback is a direct replacement for your 2014 Subaru WRX Factory Catback Exhaust so it should bolt right up.

  • Q: 2018 STI Fitment  Jeffster3 months ago

Two questions..... first I have a Cobb downpipe. Will this cat back mate up to the Cobb down pipe or do I have to use some kind of adapter? The other question I have is that my car has been dyno tuned. Do I need a re-tune if I take off my existing cat back and install this one? Some say I do and some say I don’t. What do you think?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  You would need an OEM downpipe to 3" catback style adapter. As for tuning, I would recommend consulting the shop that did the dyno tune.

  • Q: Winter Longevity  akryder864 months ago

I'm looking at cat-backs for my 2014 STI that is my daily. I live in Anchorage, AK and wonder how it would put up with the temps swings of not just between seasons but also day to day in winter (-5°F to 32°F in one day). I've read in the past of titanium exhausts having cracking issues around weld spots like hangers due to the vibration and for back of better working, abuse, that daily driving puts on it. Don't remember the brand but it was on the GD platform. Thanks!
    • 1 of 1 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This is one of the highest quality exhausts on the market, you should have no issues with cracking.

Why here is only Tomei catback and intake manifild, why tomei catless downpipe is discontinued????
  • Q: Tomei  Zackn3338 months ago

The springs that come with the exhaust rattle pretty bad on my STI. Is it okay to take them off?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  As the spring helps keep the exhaust together we would not recommend removing them. We recommend using a small piece of exhaust wrap in order to keep the spring from rattling.

Amazing exhaust but cannot get the springs to stop rattling. Is there any way to stop this?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Some methods for stopping the rattle that have been used before is to use some exhaust wrap where the springs rattle against the exhaust or using some type of sleeve to put over the springs.

Been looking to get this exhaust but I keep seeing two different part numbers on different sites. I see TB6090-SB02C and 440018. Is there any difference in product beside the part number?
