Tomei Poncam camshafts are designed as a "drop in application", No dialing in required as the nock-pin has been pre-set so that the timing is set for you.

Tomei Poncams are designed to work with the standard valve springs and offer the best drop in performance gain for both street and track use. These cams will work with the OEM ECU settings and aftermarket ECU if you want more customized settings.

  • Q: RPM Limit  Osvaldo 2 years ago

What is the RPM limit whit this cams using the OEM valve springs?.

    • A: The RPM limit will still be the stock redline with OEM springs. You will need upgraded springs and retainers for a higher rev limit.

  • Q: Tomei Poncam fitment  Osvaldo 2 years ago

I'm stalling 9.6:1 pistons on my 2015 STI, do I have to make any modification so the camshaft can fit and it wont hit the pistons?

    • A: I recommend consulting your engine builder regarding camshaft fitment and selection. The camshafts themselves will not pose any fitment issues, but there could be fitment issues with aftermarket valves and springs without a proper valve job.

  • Q: HP gains?  Printimus 2 years ago

I know that it is totally dependent on other mods and tuning and etc., but is there an estimated average power gain from these cams?

    • A: This cams are going to have a mild increase anywhere from 15-30whp depending on a variety of things. The most noticeable effect will be the increase in powerband from mid to top end power.

I saw in an earlier question you guys said these cams are good for small to mid size turbos, what would be the best turbo/turbos to get the most out of the cams power wise?

    • A: You can use any size turbo with these cams, but these would work best with a turbo that is rated for approximately 350-450hp at the crank.
