Do these cams come with the plugs to delete AVCS to use the Brian Crower Cam gears? The engine is out of a 2013 STI
  • Q: what size injectors?   Lagg-Alot5 years ago

My 2010 sti is tuned for cobb flex fuel. With blouch dom 2.5 polka pickle turbo. I have id 1300 cc injectors. Would this cam work? What size injectors would be best?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  If your tuner is suggesting upgraded cams I would make sure your tuner approves of these, but they are upgraded from stock. If your tuner suggests bigger injectors after installing these cams, your tuner will recommend the best size injectors and retune your car after that.

  • Q: Why wont it work with a 2008 subaru impreza wrx 2.5?  TBoyce6 years ago

It says these wont work with a 2008 subaru impreza wrx 2.5 hacthback, what would you recommend with a similar spec?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  The STI has 2 Dual AVCS cams, whereas the WRX does not. At this time we only offer Tomei's Tomei Poncam which is a 252 (Part # TOM 143062) for 2008-2014 WRX Models.

  • Q: FP Black  Mdestache2.07 years ago

We these cams work well for the Forced Performance Black turbo for a 2014 STI on E85? Should I get the 272 or the 280?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  These camshafts will work with the setup you have. The 272 camshafts use the OEM valve springs and the 280s will require upgraded valve springs. The 280 camshafts will allow the motor to rev higher and are intended for a fully built motor.

What horsepower are these cams good for?

A:  There is not a power limit with these cams, and they are most beneficial with a larger turbo.

  • Q: Will it fitt?  tahn879 years ago

I have 2011 STI with following mods which I don't think it will matter... 3in Turbo-back Catless exhaust Tomei Unequal Length Exhaust Manifold with uppipe K&N Cold Air Intake AccessPort Stage 2 MAP with target boost set to 19psi with 93 pump gas. Will I be able to just replace stock Cam with this and be able to run it fine? (of course I will get it tuned) or will I have to get different parts (such as piston, spring, rod, etc)
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  This cams will bolt directly to your vehicle and do not require springs or any machining. A tune will optimize the gains with these cams.

  • Q: RPM Range?  Chadillac10 years ago

If I were to pair these cams with the Cosworth Dual Valve Spring Kit on a 2011 STI with my GT35 and supporting mods, about where would the engine redline?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  That would depend on more then just Cams and valve springs. Majority of the time the thing that holds you back from revving the Subaru motor high is the oiling system not being able to keep up.
