  • Q: Good for Hybrid Build?  agdkjh2 years ago

Looking to use my s20 heads (machined to fit ej25) with these 272 cams. Will they work for daily/fun driving?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  These are 280 duration cams. I would consult your engine builder for suggestions on which cam to choose.

  • Q: Cams  Tt5 years ago

Are these cams good for 450+ hp.
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  You'll want to consult your engine builder for the best answer for your specific build and turbo setup, but I would go for a 272 duration cam or similar if you're looking for ~450whp. Anything larger will have a very narrow powerband on the 205.

  • Q: 04 sti  Tt5 years ago

Ok I'm going with cosworth titanium duel valve springs Manley valves. An 8.2-1 piston and Manley h tuff rods. What size cams should I get. Would like to see 450+hp. Gt30r turbo.

A:  It depends on what you are building the car for and the redline. I would recommend giving us a call at 888-45-Rally so we can go over your build and get the best option for you!

  • Q: What all is needed to run these cams?  SubiWRX035 years ago

I know that I need the upgraded valve spring kit. Are aftermarket valves recommended? Do I need to adjust the valve shims even if I run the bc spring kit?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Yes, We recommend upgrading the whole valve train.

A:  Aftermarket valves are not mandatory but recommended for high RPM applications. The cams have the same base circle as the OEM cams but you will need to check the lash on installation. They like .008" on the intake and .010" on the exhaust.

  • Q: 04 WRX  twrx64502895 years ago

i see in the description 'The above intake cams will not work with AVCS Motors (EJ207 or EJ257)' will this not fit my 04 WRX heads?
  • Q: What springs would work?  KennyJ5407 years ago

Do these cams require a dual spring, or will an upgraded single spring, such as the Cosworth high RPM spring be sufficient?
  • Q: Power Range  jdlong8 years ago

Would these cams help bottom end/ mid range or more towards top end?
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  Cams in generally shift your powerband to the higher RPMs and cams that are as aggressive as these will take away some low end torque, but provide a lot more top end power.

  • Q: stock internals  warlord_x699 years ago

Hi im still dibating wich cams to use so will this cams work on a stock internal engine with suporting bolt ons??
    • 0 of 0 people found the following answer helpful

A:  These cams can be used on a stock engine as long as the valve springs are upgraded, but they will be overkill for the amount of power the stock engine can handle. Please contact us for more information regarding cam recommendations.
