By upgrading the soft stock suspension bushing with a harder unit will take the slop out of your suspension. A harder bushing will not deflect as much during hard use keeping the control in its optimal position. Included with the kit is both the front inner bushings, your control arms will need to be removed from the vehicle to have the old bushings pressed out. The new bushings are 2 piece making for easy installation into the control arm. These will transfer more noise and vibration into the cabin so they are not for the faint of heart.

At this price you could bet worse parts this was slightly noticeable but I feel for the money was worth it.

Whiteline Front Inner Lower Control Arm Bushing

I noticed two things before buying these. It's a cheap part and not a lot of people upgrade these bushings. Upon removing the control arm, I understand why. The stock bushing is very stiff; however, there is room for movement as the bushing is not totally flush with the crossmember where it connects to the car. The stock bushing protrudes in the middle to connect to the car. This is where additional movement, if any, could happen. I feel that this part rids any additional movement that may happen in this area. The new bushings sit flush with the crossmember section where the control arm connects to the car. A couple tips: Make life easy on yourself and have a shop push these bushings out with a press. Also, USE A LOT OF GREASE in the bushing, on the bushing and especially where it connects to the car. This makes installation better, and it's going to prolong the life of the poly bushing. Also, in the description they speak of additional NVH but I haven't noticed any to be honest. Overall, I am happy with the product. It's definitely a better bushing than the stock unit. It's not hard to install, other than lining up the control arm bolts for installation, and with enough initial care this bushing will last many miles to justify the small price.

Do these fit the '09 STi? Cannot seem to find any for the 08-10 models.

    • A: As per the confirmed application list, we cannot confirm fitment on the 2009 STi at this time. Thank you!
