Installed it on my '14 WRX Hatch. Install: Fairly simple install, make sure you mark the steering position so your alignment isn't all messed up when you disconnect the steering shaft to drop the rack. Also, grease the bushings inside and out to prevent squeaking later on and making the install easier. Took about 2 hours overall with a dinner break in between. Improvements: This won't affect steering 'response' as in how much your car turns per how much you turn the wheel. What this does improve is the steering sensitivity. Everything feels much more connected and the steering feels less 'mushy' if you will. You will feel more of the road through your wheel which is great for understanding cornering and the limits of your tires as you're taking a turn at speed. Overall, if you're looking into this you should just buy it.
The steering in my WRX was mushy and soft. In an effort to fix this, my first install has been this product. install is straightforward but requires a little bit of skill. Overall not a night and day difference but I am still happy with the noticeable improvement to the steering
I daily my 2017 STi and after about 13k miles I noticed a bit of back and forth slop in the steering wheel. I thought this was a performance car!? After installing these I no longer have that back and forth feel in the wheel and the whole front end feels that much more confident in corners. I have definitely received more than $74.33 worth of happiness from this product. Go for it!
the product are high quality and fit perfectly
While I had my rack down for pinion seal repair, it was convient to upgrade these bushes. What a difference! While not taking out al of the compliance, and not as hard as metal bushed, this is the perfect upgrade for those who want to feel what the tire is doing off center. Ran them on a track day and I had much more confidence and feedback. Downside is that I fet more of the bumps on street and track as this amplified the reflected intertias into the steering wheel. Very smart upgrade for those who was less of a civilian feel to their Subaru
