Some of the best service for Subaru parts. Fast quick an simple. The whiteline sway bars definitely make corners a lot easier to handle!
So I put this kit on my 2017 STI which already had the White Line rear lower control arms and RCE Super Street 1 coil overs. It really just completed the package. The stiffer springs and dampening of the coil overs and these beefier bars really play off each other and make mine feel like a go cart. With an aggressive alignment for AutoX nearly all under steer is gone and you can really drive the car quickly. I went with the stiffest setting on the back and soft on the front. Install was easy and I took my time. The front bar you can get close to level at ride height, the rear you can't. You basically just set the links as short as they will go and run it. The bar not being totally level won't hurt or effect anything that you or I will ever notice. MAKE SURE TO RECHECK ALL THE FASTENERS! It's in the manual for a reason, I would check them before every track/autox day and at every oil change. I would say that if you are going to run these sway bars and are trying to get rid of the under steer these cars are known for I would ask you to consider what springs/struts you are running as well as tire and alignment. I see bad reviews all the time for great products where people are just throwing parts at something when they know nothing about vehicle dynamics. The biggest thing that will help under steer on these cars is tire and alignment. Now as you start to run more aggressive alignment settings (Zero toe, more negative camber. -2.2 front, -2 rear and zero toe f/r is about perfect) you will need to go to more aggressive springs and struts to control that. Most of you have never heard this line but look it up from Day's of Thunder, 'T I R E S, are what wins a race.' Bottom line kids, read and pay attend to the guys at the auto x days and who write articles on chassis dynamics. Learn what the car is doing, learn what causes under steer. If you're not sure White Line, RCE and Rallysport have great people to help guide you. Be humble and learn, don't just turn to some dude on a forum with a 500+ whp car on the cheapest tire he could get at discount so he can save for another motor build. ;)
Received my Kit on time and in good shape. I installed the rear sway bar first, The bar ends up with the tines angled up towards the underneath of the car by a good 5+ degrees, this is without extending the provided end links much at all. I had to put both bottom end link bushings onto the one side closest to the front of the car so that the end link would intercept the middle setting of the sway bar, without bending the bushing, if I wanted to get the stiffest setting there would be no more room to move the bottom of the link making it not possible, I contacted White Line technical about the angle of the sway bar tines and was told that they usually don't line up level with the ground. and that the pictures I provided them show that I installed it correctly. This makes this bar as sold in the kit not usable as is if you want the stiffest setting. The front bar went in very well, I went with the less stiff of the two settings to start with and everything looks like its aligned well. I really like the grease free bushings, and have noticed the car not rolling as much around hard turns, It was tight to begin with, but these took it up a notch.
I purchased this kit regardless of the advise I received several people in the forums. Many people explained that the 26mm front sway bar is overkill and they were correct, especially with the 22mm rear sway bar included in this kit. Understeer was significantly increased along with harshness due to the stiffer bushings. More importantly, there seems to be a frequent issue with the rear endlinks loosening over time, which causes the thread to strip (please see attached image). Please note that I followed Whiteline's installation instructions and applied the recommended torque specification, but still ended up with stripped endlinks.
